The Totally Useless but Absolutely Essential Vocal Sample Every producer knows this kind of ridiculous truth: the track is already solid, the groove is there, the mix is clean, and everything technically works. Then you throw in one completely unnecessary little “hey” every 16 bars… and suddenly the whole thing feels bigger, catchier, and suspiciously Grammy-worthy.
