Voice Volume Group Activity
Supplies: Volume cards (I created these in "Pages"), List of places/situation (I just used "Word").
Goals: I did this with a social skills group of 1st/2nd graders (2 on the autism spectrum) when I noticed that some students struggled with controlling their volume.
- Each child get 3 cards (loud, normal and quiet/soft).
- Read off a list of different situations/locations and ask students to identify how loud it is appropriate to be by putting a card forward on the table.
I did this with a 1st/2nd grade social skills group when I noticed that this is that this was something the children with autism struggled with.
