@voidfell gets a thing!
Mike huddled against debris, shell pressed firmly against brick and mortar as lasers fired in volleys around him, pinning him down. it was supposed to have been a simple recon mission; take a look around, mark down important details, and head back to HQ. too bad plans always took a nosedive when Mike was involved.
just as he prepared himself to make a mad dash towards the foot soldiers, there was a blinding white light that encompasses every nook and cranny of his surroundings, blinded as he feels himself drop through the air like the ground had been pulled away. before he knew it, Mike was slamming into asphalt shell first, causing a jolt of pain through his spine into his chest, knocking the breath out of him.
dazed and confused, the old terrapin tried and failed to survey his surroundings; everything was too bright, too loud, and much too overwhelming. he felt like his head was going to explode, and his breath didn't come as easily as before, like the air was too thin to take in.
it was too much to process. so his brain does what it can to keep him from losing it; it shuts down. with a groan, he loses what little consciousness he has and passes out.
