i‘ve been revisiting a lot of taz balance lately and i have to say i think one of my absolute favorite moments that kinda flew under my radar the first time through has to be the end of the voidfish duet when it just breaks the harmony, like. not only is it this still weirdly beautiful chord but in retrospect it’s such a visceral representation of pain and at that point none of them understand why or what it wants and neither does the audience so it just comes out as this frightening, confusing dissonance
