Mere hours after their parting, Niryna was back in Volangoth and Fainion's domicile once more. It seemed that, yet again, Fainion was absent from his husband's side. Mostly likely offering more aid to the refugees. Good. He didn't need to see any of this.

Volangoth had decided after a while once the two had departed post their meal to have taken a shower, as even with Red Mountain being asleep, there IS still slight ash falling outside. And prolonged exposure to it makes him itchy. He doesn't however know not notice at first that Niryna had returned, up until he walks into the main living space. "...Hmn? Back so soon?"

After a prolonged absence, Niryna returned to Volangoth's 'abode' in the usual fashion. Which was appearing when his back was turned as if she had always been a part of the room. It had been six days, at most, since their original arrival, and Niryna had been gone for half of them. Leaving no word of warning to Volangoth and leaving him to meander about on his own.

"I hope you do not begrudge me for abandoning you here for such a long time; there were matters I needed to attend to. Though, I had the most interesting encounter just now that I think you ought to be aware of."

Volangoth puts a hand to his chest in mock surprise, acting as if her sudden appearance once he turned around actually frightened him to the bone. "Don't give an old man a heart attack like that!" He sighs, walking towards Niryna with his usual posture after a moment, though he seems a bit... troubled. "...I am gathering it has something to do with my husband, considering you're telling me of it."

It was unfathomably easy for Niryna to locate Volangoth and Fainion's newest place of residence by following the trail that the former had left. So, whatever Volangoth was doing was sure to be quickly interrupted as Niryna appeared right in his living room.

"I apologise for the intrusion, darling, but I just had to see you again." She was really laying it on thick. How peculiar.

Volangoth was in fact pacing within their kitchen, a few things out but unused, as if he had planned on doing something but got lost in a passing thought before he could actually start cooking. "Ah, Niryna? I wasn't expecting you. It's a pleasure to- wait, what was with that tone?" The mer isn't so foolish to not notice a strange twang in the way she is speaking, and thus he squints his eyes at her, hands now on his own two hips.

The living goddess appears in Volangoth's periphery. But when he turns to look, there is no one there.

"It has come to my attention that I have you to thank for my recovery. Is that correct?"

Confusion rings in Volangoth's head as he starts to squint his eyes, annoyed that his mind is apparently being used as a conduit for conversation without his permission- up until he realizes just whom he is conversing with. "...Niryna? Ah, well. Yes. I found that your body was slowly dying and I deigned to fix the issue at hand. I didn't wish for someone whom I could converse with at length such as yourself to die so soon." Pausing, he realizes that the way she is speaking sounds a bit... strange, altered, yet undeniably her. "Where... are you? Are you still with your brother?"

Feeling a headache coming on, despite his blooming care for that Niryna woman, Volan decides to ignore her prior commentary and just go knock on Voryn's door. He would deal with her attitude later, or maybe her fiancé would, who knows. He has other things to deal with now. "Muthsera? It's me, Volangoth."

Volangoth would feel a pair of hands snaking around his torso from behind. Fingernails scraped gently over his chest and abdomen before a weight settled against his back. From the scent of vanilla and blackberry perfume, it wasn't hard to deduce who it was.

Inhaling deeply, Volangoth places his hands upon hers and slowly opens his eyes, having had them closed momentarily to take in her scent. "Yes, my dearest?" He inquires in an even, yet sweet tone. Either something has happened or she is in yet another affectionate mood. He does not mind either.
