On Peter’s cut off hand

Many people wonder why Peter cut off the entire hand instead of just of one little piece of flesh for Voldemort reviving pottion and think that it was all for shock value. They’re only partially right.

Voldemort demanded THE WHOLE HAND.

And later mocked Peter’s pain. 

If you still think Voldemort isn’t fucked up beyond repair and Peter isn’t the most wretchedly miserable character in all of modern pop culture, you’re not paying enough attention.
