Good day, my esteemed Concordians. I trust this moment finds you in good health and high spirits. Here I am, once again with the last part of the lesson about how "The Creator" copied has taken inspiration from the Earth and created Saligia. I'm not going to take attendance today, so let's get started my dears.
Kingdom of Avari - Japan
Avari, Land of Fire. Home of our beloved Guy who couldn't care less for his fanclub lol. He is a mood. Back to the kingdom, settled by an ambitious people who are blessed by the abundance this volcanic land provides. Rich with underground resources, this is a powerful kingdom. Many veins of valuable ore run through the land, which makes Avarians excellent metalsmiths and crafters of magical weapons. Their most famous export is red coffee.
So why Japan? Japan is a volcanic archipelago with abundant mineral resources and a history of expertise in metallurgy, especially in the crafting of swords and tools (like katanas). Additionally, although coffee culture is relatively recent, there has always been a strong tradition of beverages such as tea and sake.
Kingdom of Luxure - France
Luxure, just hearing the name of this kingdom makes you go bankrupt. Luxure, you would think is the Land of Luxury, but nope, it actually is the Land of Lakes, and home to our favourite womanizer/maneater Fenn (even his name sounds luxurious). Anyway, back to the topic, selected for its vibrant landscape, this land is favored by those that seek pleasure. The fields of art and entertainment flourish in this kingdom, which is also known for its unique attitude towards love and marriage. Here, any one person can be married to multiple other people at the same time. The local specialty here is blue wine.
And what does Luxure has to do with France? Well, actually A LOT. France is known for its vibrant artistic scene, its liberal approach to love and relationships (being a culture open to diverse forms of expression in love), and its tradition of high-quality wines. Similar to Spain, France is another nation with a great sense of fashion, being directly the birthplace of haute couture. All these characteristics have endowed France with unparalleled popularity on a global scale. Fenn would LOVE this place.
Kingdom of Voleri - Italy
Voleri, Land of Plenty. This fertile region was chosen for its ability to feed its citizens' voracious appetites (we have seen it with Rio). This expansive land is known for its agriculture, producing the most food of any kingdom in the magical realm. However, Volerians lack economic trade agreements, which puts them at a disadvantage power- wise. Famous products include Volerian wheat.
Okay, this is another case of a difficult kingdom to identify on Earth, It could try to mimic Argentina. Argentina is a country with vast fertile lands, known for its agricultural production, especially cereals like wheat, and it has faced economic challenges despite its natural wealth. BUT, in my opinion, Italy is the best match for Voleri. Italy boasts vast farmland, rolling green hills, and fertile lands that produce wheat, grapes, olives, and more. Regions like Tuscany and Puglia stand out for the natural beauty of their rural landscapes, where agriculture lies at the heart of the economy and culture, much like in Voleri. Additionally, Italy is renowned for its love of food, with a cuisine that celebrates fresh, local ingredients. Italians are also known for their hospitality and their cheerful, open nature, doesn't that reminds you of our beloved Rio?
Kingdom of Ira - Arabia
Ira, also known as the Land of Deserts. An indignant people opted for this ideal battleground from which to win every fight. An indignant people opted for this ideal battleground from which to win every fight. Surrounded by desert and with few natural resources, the Irian people have focused on enhancing their military might. They have little exportable products, keeping their kingdom afloat through mercenary work instead. I mean, I'm sure it's a beautiful kingdom, but it does sound kinda scary (the mercenary work part took me out).
Now, what does Ira has to do with Arabia? Both Ira and Arabia are defined by vast deserts that create a harsh and challenging environment. These lands are tough, arid, and demand great resilience to survive, symbolizing the strength of their inhabitants. Additionally, Arabia has historically held strategic importance due to its geographical location. So yeah, they are pretty similar.
Isle of Colde - Malta
Finally, our pretty little island. Isle of Colde, the Keeper of Peace. This island was formed in hopes of never bringing war and tragedy to the magical realm again. The Royal Academy of Concordia is located on this politically neutral island. Each kingdom must send their princes here to this microcosm of the magical realm, which serves as a symbol of peace.
And you know what? Exactly! This island has also been pretty difficult to summarize in just one country, but I tried my best. Okay, essentially, it resembles Switzerland more closely. Switzerland is famous for its political neutrality, its focus on peace, and for being a meeting point for diplomats and international students. The idea of a "microcosm" where people from different places gather also mirrors Switzerland as the host of international organizations. Furthermore, its role as a symbol of peace fits perfectly with the image of a neutral and safe place. However, aesthetically, one could say that the best comparison for Colde would be another island, this time called Malta. Malta, as a small island in the Mediterranean, has a long history of serving as a meeting point for various cultures, which aligns with the concept of a neutral place. Malta has been a melting pot of European, Arab, and Mediterranean cultures, and although small, it possesses a unique beauty with its coastlines, historic architecture, and colorful landscapes, making it an ideal location for diplomacy.
And well, that’s all, dear ones. I hope you’ve enjoyed this masterclass about our world and its foundations. Now, back to your studies, you wouldn’t want to end up in section C and get expelled, would you? Bye-bye! Kisses!
Author's note: Again, obviously, none of this information has been confirmed by the developers and creators of the game; it’s just the opinion of a girl who’s way too bored, despite having too many things to do.
Thoma deserves so much more love than he gets. I hope he gets a route eventually. I love him so much.
Thank you @kirus-grotto for bumping ideas around with me <3
Cara sighed, pushing the food around on her plate but never actually eating it. It had been days since she had a proper meal. She had hoped that actually coming to the refectory and placing a delicious looking meal (and it really did look good) in front of her might help her regain a sliver of her appetite. But anytime she tried to put something in her mouth, she felt a lump form in her throat threatening her ability to swallow and causing tears to prick the corner of her eyes.
“This is stupid.” She muttered to herself, stabbing a piece of meat onto the end of her fork. “I’m losing my appetite over a boy? What is this, middle school?” She whispered, making sure she kept her voice quiet enough so no one would hear her.
But no matter how much she berated herself, the fact was that she couldn’t eat, couldn’t sleep, couldn’t even look over in his general direction without feeling like her legs were falling out from under her. She huffed, putting her elbow on the table while resting her cheek on her palm. The scene from three days ago kept playing through her mind, whether she wanted it to or not. She knew there was no mistaking what she had seen. She had opened the door to the kitchens to see Thoma feeding Violet. Hand feeding her whatever it was that he had made. She had managed to quietly shut the door before they saw her, which made the whole thing even worse. How was she supposed to bring up the topic to either of them now? Would she even want to bring it up? Would it hurt any less if they confirmed what she had seen with her own eyes?
Her and Thoma had been spending so much time together. She was so sure that he was interested in her the same way she was interested in him. Then again, who wouldn’t choose Violet over her given the option? Her pillowy breasts, her hourglass figure, her long legs. Everything about Violet screamed sex appeal. How could Cara even compare?
Her red eyes closed as she forced herself to swallow the lump in her throat. She had avoided actually crying so far, and she sure as hell wasn’t going to cry in public over a boy.
The same boy sitting only a few tables away, unnoticed by Cara as she lost herself in her own thoughts. His stormy eyes glanced to her plate, which was not untouched but still retained the full meal it had come with. Her dark hair fell over her face as she leaned her head into her hand. While not visible to him at the moment, he had previously noticed the dark circles sitting just under her eyes. He had tried to talk to her multiple times over the last few days, but every time he went in search of her, she would already be in her room. There were a few times he swore they made eye contact, but she would turn on her heel and walk the other way. If he didn’t know any better, he’d say she was avoiding him. But he couldn’t come up with a single reason why she would be. He had played their last conversation over and over in his mind, but no matter how much he scrutinized every word he said, he just couldn’t figure out what he could've said wrong.
“Thoma?” Came the gentle voice of his best friend. “You’ve noticed too, huh mate?” He asked, moving forward slightly so Thoma could hear his lowered voice. Thoma didn’t respond at first. He was sure Rio hadn’t noticed exactly what Thoma had, but he also wasn’t oblivious enough to not have noticed anything wrong.
“D’you think she’s been sick?” Rio asked when Thoma didn’t respond. Thoma pressed his lips into a thin line before tearing his eyes from Cara and turning to look at his Prince.
“Dunno.” Thoma said, averting his gaze. “Haven’t had the chance to talk to her much the last few days.” He said, figuring it wasn’t exactly a lie.
That gave Rio pause. That wasn’t like them. They were thick as thieves, and Rio had never seen Thoma smile the way he would smile when he was with Cara. He thought about making a comment about it, but he could see the pain Thoma was trying to hide in his eyes. Instead, he offered a solution.
“Maybe we should go to her room later today and check on her.” Rio said, keeping his gaze not on the girl in question but on his valet. He noticed Thoma’s shoulders tense for just a moment.
“I suppose you two are discussing our poor treasure?” came a female voice from behind them. They both turned around to see Violet standing behind them, her hands on her hips.
“Violet, I don’t suppose you know if she’s been sick? We can bring her some nutritious soup to help her feel better.” Rio said, his brows furrowed in obvious concern.
“Afraid I don’t know.” Violet said, taking a seat with the two Volerians at their table. “It seems she hasn’t been talking to many people. I stopped by her quarters last night, but to no avail. She didn’t answer her door if she was in there.” Violet said, turning her gaze to the two men. “I wonder if she’s overworking herself again. We all know she has a tendency to.”
“True, that.” Rio agreed.
“Or it could be trouble with a man. That’ll eat at a woman’s heart.” Violet added on, flicking her eyes to Thoma, who was staring at the table. He puffed his cheeks out at that.
“Wouldn’t know.” He muttered quietly. Violet leaned in a little closer to him, attempting to get a better look at his face.
Cara turned to get out of her seat at the refectory, catching sight of the group of three a few tables over. None of them were looking her way, but she noticed the way Violet seemed to lean in towards Thoma. The way their eyes met, stormy gray to deep purple. The lump formed back in her throat as she quickly got up and left, making sure she was out of their sight before they even had a chance to notice her absence. And it almost worked. But Thoma’s ears caught the sound of her chair scraping against the floor, and he turned his head to follow her receding form as it walked out.
“I think I’ll get to the bottom of this.” Thoma muttered, standing up and following behind her without a word to the two he left at the table. But he didn’t need to say anything as he walked out, leaving Rio and Violet with small smiles on their faces.
Rio shouted: “Let us know if you need any he-hngh!?”
Violet had hit him over the head.
Thoma had managed to keep his eyes on Cara’s back for a bit, waiting until they got somewhere a little more secluded so they didn’t cause any kind of scene in the middle of the hallway. At no point did Cara turn around, or seem to sense Thoma following her. Proof that her mind was somewhere else, as she was normally astute enough to sense people’s eyes on her.
She made her way through the hallways, all the way down to the front doors and straight out of the school. Thoma stood for just a moment, eyes on the doors that she had just walked out of. He waited to follow her, so that she wouldn’t hear the doors open and close behind her.
When he did finally open the door, the cool fall air hit his face as he saw the woman he was looking for walking towards the forest as if on a mission. Thoma cocked his head in confusion, before taking note of their surroundings and deciding that it must have been chilly enough to keep most people inside as there were only a handful of people out there as well.
Thoma decided it was good enough, and took off at a run after Cara as she made her way closer and closer to the forest.
Cara took a deep breath of the cool autumn air as she made her way to the beautiful forest that resided on the academy grounds. She needed a little time with nature to help clear her mind from everything going on. She knew the way she was acting wasn’t fair to Thoma, Violet, or any of her friends. She would need to apologize later, but right now she just needed a moment (or a few days) to get her shit together so she could approach this situation maturely and no one except her would have to be hurt in this process.
Except…
She heard the footsteps first as they pounded against the ground, crunching the leaves as they hit. Before she could turn around, however, a warm hand was already grabbing her wrist unwilling to let her get away this time. She turned slightly, but before she could fully react Thoma was already in front of her. One hand still around her wrist and the other on her shoulder.
“Thoma…?” She questioned. It was all she was able to say. How did he find her so quickly? She had made sure he wasn’t paying attention when she left the refectory.
“Are you… sick?” He asked her quickly. He winced at himself. What else was he supposed to say? He almost asked if she was okay, but then decided it was obvious that she was not and it would be a silly question to ask.
“I.. am not.” Cara said, confusion fighting her surprise and embarrassment at being caught off guard by him.
“Then why aren’t you eating? Or sleeping? Or… talking to me?” He asked, his shoulders falling at the last question. Cara stared at him for a moment, her ruby eyes meeting his steely ones. She felt like if she opened her mouth, she would burst out in tears on a very confused Thoma’s shoulder. She bit her lip, begging her eyes to stop stinging. She did not want to make this his problem. This wasn’t his problem. She knew that. This was her problem that revolved around him.
“MoonBeam, please?” Thoma pleaded, taking a step closer to her.
His little nickname for her, that was so similar to Rio’s. But Thoma knew the beauty of the moon fit her better than the brightness of the sun. That was all it took for the tears to fall from her eyes for the first time since she had witnessed that scene in the kitchen. They streamed down her face as she hung her head. She knew Thoma had seen, but what else could she do? She used her sleeves to try and wipe the tears away as quickly as she could.
“Hey, wait!” Thoma exclaimed, now in unfamiliar territory. “What’s wrong? What happened? You’re not hurt are you?” He asked, bending down just slightly to try and get a better look at her face. He hooked his finger under her chin to try and force her to look up but she jerked her head away in embarrassment.
Was she hurt? How could she answer that? Of course she was hurt, but not physically. And not intentionally. And if Thoma knew he was the one who had hurt her he’d never forgive himself. She sniffled slightly, looking back up at Thoma once she had sufficiently wiped her face.
“I’m not hurt.” She said, though her croaky voice seemed to give away her lie. “M’okay.” She tried to say anyway.
“MoonBeam, please tell me what happened? Everyone’s been so worried for you! Violet tried-”
The mention of Violet caused her stomach to drop. Her mind trying to figure out why it felt like her heart had stopped, but it was also beating so hard she could hear it in her eardrums. She swallowed, opening her mouth with the intention of telling Thoma that she respected his decision. But instead what came out was-
“This is so silly!” She said, stomping her foot. “I can’t believe I’m this upset over a boy! I see the guy I like with another woman and I lose my mind!”
Thoma felt his heart drop at this, but kept his mouth shut until she was done.
“I doubt Violet would be upset if she saw you with someone else, right? So why is it affecting me like this? Of course Violet has no need to be jealous, with how beautiful she is. I can’t blame you for wanting to date her, I just really liked you and-”
Thoma stared at Cara.
Cara stared at Thoma.
Her face was heating up by the second as she realized what she had just admitted to in her rant. His cheeks were just as pink as he realized what she admitted to in her rant.
His brain tried to catch up to her. She liked him? Violet is pretty? Why did those correlate? He wanted to date Violet? Since when? This was news to him.
“I didn’t mean- well, yes I did- but, Thoma, I-” Cara stuttered out, seemingly unable to finish a sentence.
“The moon is beautiful.” Thoma whispered, just barely loud enough for her to hear. He had to force himself not to look away from her. “I guess flowers are pretty, sure. But the moon is magically bewitching.”
“I, um.” Cara said, narrowing her still-damp eyes. “Flowers? You mean Violet? The moon?” Her confusion was written across her face as he continued to lose her in this conversation.
“You’re my MoonBeam.” He muttered, taking another step forward.
“But.. Violet?” Cara said, still incapable of forming a complete sentence as her brain tries to finish breaking down his little riddle from a moment ago.
“Where does Violet fit into this?” He asked her, their noses now only inches apart. His gaze capturing hers and not allowing her to look away.
“You guys are.. I mean I saw you, the other night. F-feeding her and I thought..” She trailed off, just now coming to the realization that maybe she should have asked someone about this before allowing her mind to go wild with conclusions.
Thoma’s face was still for a moment, before his lips twitched at the corner as if he was about to crack a smile before determining this wasn’t the time.
“I had made a new stew.” Thoma said. “I.. was going to invite you to dinner, but wanted someone else to try it before you to make sure it was as good as you deserved.”
“As good as…” Cara said, trying to trail off.
“You deserved.” He finished the sentence, finally releasing her wrist and poking her nose. She scrunched her face up instinctually.
“That stew probably isn’t good anymore, huh?” She asked, looking off to the side and causing Thoma to chuckle.
“I’ll make more. The stew is the least of my concerns.” Thoma assured her, using his thumb to wipe the remnants of her tears.
“I think I made a mistake.” She said, though she currently felt lighter than she had in days.
“A very cute mistake.” Thoma assured her, moving the hand he had cupping her cheek to the back of her head. Cara opened her mouth to protest. She didn’t think it was a very cute mistake, after all. But before she could vocalize her self-disgust, his unexpectedly soft lips fell onto hers, threading his fingers through her hair and moving his other arm around her waist. She rest her hands on his shoulders as their lips moved together in perfect synchrony. If she didn't know any better, she could have sworn that they had done this 100 times before. Like they just knew how to move with each other. His arm tightened around her waist as hers wrapped around his neck, their bodies pressed so closely together they could hold up a piece of paper.
When they finally pulled away from each other, Thoma didn’t allow them to get more than two inches apart before he leaned back on for one more peck. They finally looked at each other again, neither really sure what to say, but also not feeling the need to say anything. Thoma tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, trying to swallow down his pounding heart.
If I ask you to rate the Saligia kings from Hot Daddy 🥵 to Sweetie Pie 🥺 (from the hottest to the cuties) Would you rate them tho? Just asking....
Hello 😊
Hmmmm This question is not easy to answer. I thought a lot about it.🤔🤔🤭🤭 I'm pretty sure I already answered an ask like this a while ago, but as I probably changed my mind about them, I did my ranking again 😉
1- (Addis) Ira - 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
Honestly, I don't think I need much explanation. He's Hot. So Hot!
2- (Klauss) Invidia - 🥵🥵🥵😍😍
This choice is one I can't explain. Something about him sounds interesting to me, he's smart, kind... You know that rich, elegant, kind, seductive guy? He's Hot.
3- Avari - 🥵🥵🥵
So the King of Avari is in third because despite being Hot, he doesn't have much handling with people, he's cold, distant. But I believe that when he is interested, he can be "usable" 😏😏😏
4- (Dan) Voleri - 🥵🥵😍😍😍
Rio's dad is Hot, but much cuter than Hot. But still Hot. He deserved 2 Hot and 3 cute.
5- (Gilbert) Qelsun - 🥵
His indifference has a charm. But not my type.
6- (Liam) Akedia - 😍😍😍😍😍
I'm sorry, but I only see cuteness in King Akedia.
7- Luxure - ❓❓❓❓❓
How can I explain... I didn't like him, I can't read anything about him. So I can't comment.🤷♀️
