Huge shoutout to @libradogtraining for tagging us in this beautiful story. Pictured is Tucker & his lovely mom Nicole! Tucker, is 2 years old, was skinny and had to wear diapers because he leaked urine! To make matters worse he had been to the vet constantly and had urinalysis done often.Blood work checked all the things with no answers. Nicole was given no viable options to help Tucker and didn’t know what to do. When @libradogtraining finally met Tucker & Nicole she said he has a full bowl of food but doesn't touch it most days. She was doing anything to get him eating. @libradogtraining was able to get Tucker to eat while playing with him in the backyard but the food was a high value one I try to always use for my dogs. She was very much surprised! I explained partly the breed alone loves to work, to have a purpose so by making a game out of it he was engaged. But my head was racing because I knew there was a reason he was almost starving him self. #That’s when @libradt seemed that with all his symptoms all that had to happen was a diet change. # Nicole didn't say no but she wanted time to process. Tuck ended up having urinary symptoms that landed them at yet another vet! Nicole called @libradogtraining and she could hear that feeling in her voice and said we need to just take the plunge and go #Volhard. Just try it for me, you have nothing to lose. It sounded like Tuck was just failing! Nicole agreed. We got him started hard switched in 24 hours with ZERO issues. We added in urinary support supplements, Volhard B Complex and gave it time! Now 6mo later Tucker is out of diapers & on with life! He has gone from "oh he's a GSP they are all skinny" to a dapper dude. He looks great but most importantly he feels great!! What was once written off as a neurological issue is now a resolved issue. All thanks to Nicole's love! Change can be scary but thankfully she trusted me & she wanted the best for her boy.
