My friend is pretty lucky when it comes to buying amiibos at stores...

I am his driver (he can’t drive) and I take him to places. So far, he’s been able to snag almost every exclusive since we started these trips. There was the time we lined up super early, around 2:00 a.m. for Jigglypuff. We didn’t have to. There were four people in front of us and like, 40 Jigglypuff. Nobody showed up for hours.but by the time it was an our before opening, there was a line around the store.

Then, we couldn’t get Robin or Lucina, so I drove to Toys R Us. The local one had over 200 Greninja and we were both able to get Robin and Lucina. We were so close to the end of the cut off too. Sadly, we couldn’t get Marth.

Then, this one time we went to Best Buy. We had an entire plan set up if they didn’t have any Dark Pit, but the first one we went to had a bunch. We were first in line, too. (But there were these people that were super grabby and I couldn’t get one off of the shelves. Luckily, they were still unloading and a clerk handed me one. He was nice.)

The most recent trip, we didn’t even line up. In fact, this trip wasn’t even planned. I got lost and we went to the same Toys R Us that had the 200 Greninja and walked in around noonish. He got Bowser Jr. There were still boxes full of them left.

I hate him so much... But he owes me his soul, so that’s satisfying...

I made a .GIF! A Personal one!

I actually made myself a .GIF of my (old) symbol in the animation program for 3DS, Flipnote Studio 3D! I know it doesn’t look like much, but I actually practice with the thing! Plus, It loosk decent. It reminds me of the Kirby Drawing animation! Maybe if i get a better looking one of these, I can put the music in on it for some fun. Ahwell, For now, please enjoy! ^^

Tumblr is a breeding ground for hypocrisy and double standards. Apparently there was a time when this place wasn’t such a shit hole, but I, unfortunately, wasn’t there for it. Thanks for the follow :)

Do you only do artwork and stuff to make for a living or do you also have a "normal" job? My friend has been trying to earn money off commissions and she's getting REALLY disheartened since no one goes to buy her stuff...

i have a day job at an office that i work 8:30-5 haha. i mean, it’s not the best thing in the world, but i don’t hate it and have steady income.

in the past, i have done commissions, i barely do them now b/c to be honest, i don’t particularly like doing them and i don’t necessarily always have the time. living off artwork is very difficult, no doubt about that, but persistence is always key. 

it can be very disheartening and i understand how your friend feels! it doesn't measure how good of an artist you are though, sometimes most of your following may not have the funds to purchase art unfortunately. tell your friend to keep at it! with time she will improve and gain a bigger following and surely will have some customers

if you really love doing something, just do it for yourself. if you want to improve at art and sell commissions, focus on improving your art. if art is important to you, selling it for profit should feel like a happy bonus
