any opinions on the combining of games into the new app that voltage seem to be aiming/planning to do? (getting rid of stand alone).
That is something bounded to happen sooner or later, the idea itself is fine- cost saving from Voltage’s angle and convenient for readers. The main concern is given how it’s been in the past, some readers don’t have a lot of confidence with the whole migrating and cs services. Not that I blame them, so far I don’t have any issue with it.
My thoughts though-1) Being a long time player of voltage who has spent tons on routes, I’ve grown out of it by now. I am not usually interested in most of their new games or storyline, I occasionally re-read a route for fanfiction or simply because I miss an old game so truth be told, I am not bothered by voltage’s changes
2) The interface is easy enough to understand but I miss a proper NEWS page
3) The VIP room is for monthly pass users only which again serve no purpose to someone like me since I am not going to READ the stories on a daily basis and I can very well live without special CGs
4) I think campaigns and bundles offers are cool, also the limited Free Titles- where you can read certain routes for free! You just need to keep an eye on it, it’s really helpful cux I read the entire Hijikata’s route for free in Era of Samurai: Code of Love and man I did not enjoy it, not one bit SO that’s a money saver!
5) As long as the whole transition process is handled well, I see no problem with getting rid of stand-alone apps. I mean you could easily access everything in one simple app- as long as the app is good.
