Is the possibility of a "live-action" considered an idea as well? Cause it's been bugging the hell out of me & i need this out of my brain.
Oh well, i'm just gonna roll with this anyway. So I apologise if i misunderstood the format & rules. 😅
What scares fans the most when a live-action adaptation is being announced for your favorite medium?
For me i think it's definitely the casting choices.
It's the most important aspect for a film besides having a good screenwriter & director & a good budget, but somehow for whatever reason, the selection of the casts are sometimes questionable (*coughthelastairbendercough*).
If VLD ever gets a live-action adaptation, I hope the live-action crew will work hard to get the best of the best that they can to portray our beloved characters.
I personally hope they don't screw up the casting choices for Shiro & Keith so...here are some of my personal choice.
Their english speaking abilities & acting abilities
Their ethnicity (at least they need to look similar to the race of the character)
Lewis Tan as Takashi Shirogane
I know he ain't Japanese, but this guy's pretty badass. Some of you may know him as the villain from Iron Fist. His latest role was Shatterstar in Deadpool 2.
Lewis Singwah Tan was born on 4 February 1987 (February baby like Shiro!), is 188cm tall, and is really good at martial arts.
If you have never seen Lewis before, check him out here. He's a really cool dude & i think he'll do Shiro's character justice.
Don't let this boy's pretty looks fool you. He can kick butt. He buffed up for his minor role in Pacific Rim: Uprising.
Mackenyu was born on 16 November 1996 (a Scorpio like Keith! Lol), is 176cm (not too tall, not too short), and speaks english very well (he's American-Japanese).
His father is a Japanese actor, producer, director, and martial artist named Sonny Chiba. This boy is no stranger to the acting & martial arts world.
If anyone is curious of how this boy sounds like, here ya go.
With that said, the reason i had to get this thought out of my head is because i think it would be really interesting to see how Shiro & Keith's dynamic would play out in a live-action compared to animation.
