Time to form Voltron. Petition

TLDR: It’s not important, which ship you support — we’re all here for Voltron. Support this petition so everyone could see how Voltron was REALLY meant to be

We won’t be alone in saying that S8 came out... well, way too far from our expectations. We’ll state it early on, it has nothing to do with the ships. We do have our preferences, but complete story is our overall goal in watching media.

• [ Style and Pacing ] Abrupt storytelling, heavy reliance on fake scientific nonsense, and non-stop fighting in mechas weren't our reasons to come aboard Voltron fandom to begin with.

• [The Plot ] S8 left A LOT of questions unanswered and plot lines not concluded. We all could be naming those for at least half of varga. We personally were lied to by Joshua Hamilton on Podcast with question about Throk. If ppl in Dreamworks think we don’t listen to Voltron podcasts, just know: we do.

• [ Morals ] Voltron Legendary Defender started as show fighting against prejudice and was working in grey area mostly. From seasons 7 and 8, however, everything’s suddenly turned into strict black-white mess, which’d completely spoiled messages of prev seasons.

• [ Messages ] Killing POC and gay/bi character with no plot relevance, no future for abuse survivors, denying peaceful approaches in favor of Most Powerful Weapon in Universe.

There are sources that confirm that all mess of S8 does not match with original ideas and messages LM and JDS wanted us to acknowledge. And rn we have a chance to make something good great. To see an original ideas — or at the very least to show Dreamworks and Netflix that making changes like that affects fanbase that loves and cares.

We encourage to sign up the petition. Because we care.

To be loud enough, we have to call out for all Voltron fandom. And please, let’s do our best not to make this all about ships. Competent story does leave opportunities, and that’s what suppose to be the main goal.

Dreamworks Is NOT Going To Scrap Klance

Barlee saying that Voltron had to scrap some things regarding the LGBT rep was NOT referring to Klance, but Adam and Shiro. It never had to do with Klance. Barlee was referring to Adam and Shiro. So the theory that was part of the discourse today is denied and proven not to be true. Just wanted to spread the word! Keep doing what you’re doing to make yourselves be heard. It really is making a difference! The way the LGBT rep was handled in season 7 was not okay. I just wanted to clear up that Barlee was referring to Adam and Shiro, not Klance!
