Eight years later and I am still throwing up over clone Shiro’s fuckass haircut
Starting on season 2 is jogging my memory a bit regarding the whole "Keith's hunt for answers" fiasco. Also still wildly off-putting to be reminded of how little the Paladins really understood the war they were fighting— again, kids' show, but it's an interesting area for depth to be added in fic.
I feel it does show their youth, that they just take on the narrative they're told by the ones they trust and don't really care to challenge it— except Shiro at first, and then Keith, for their own reasons.
This moment when Keith's unwrapping his knife is another one of those that really makes you think. Obviously, you see he's starting to question where it came from, where he came from, but I would imagine he already knows the answer to that question, even if he won't admit it to himself, and the rest of his search is about coming to terms with that and trying to figure out the how.
(It's also just a beautiful scene— I especially like how he has the main light in his room turned off. Logically there's nothing that turning the light off will do to keep this secret contained, but don't secrets feel easier to face when the shadows make the world around you smaller?)
It really makes me wish we had seen even just a bit more of Keith's heritage being explored— Shiro's reaction especially, though I'd love to have been a fly on that wall when he told the rest of the team. Or maybe a slightly better payoff to the two seasons worth of ingrained hatred of the galra that we see.
Oh well. Plot holes are where we store our headcanons, and I'm already looking forward to touching on these in fic.
Voltron 1st rewatch part2
I didnt remember it being so funny
I knooow klance was supposed to be a thinng, i see yall's vision now! It s crazy
I love hunk hahahaha, he is the realest
Also the fact that all of them have their time to be cutie patooties 👌👌👌 (also bossy annoyances)
Love the boy trio - lance hunk and keith
Always "🙂↔️🙂↔️sigh... my child " especially at keith and pidge
I love how lance is the smart to keith dumb (when they fight as a duo), right hand man right set up there in s1, but also love how they are all dumb (just kids)
a break from our regularly scheduled programming to say goodbye (for now) to my favorite space diva
vld rewatch: the way keith looks at lance?? he wants that cookie so bad
Say what you want about Voltron, but nothing will make me laugh harder than that one Arusian scene where the King is like 'Oh, lion Goddess didn't like the dance...MOONTOW! Start the sacrificial fire! We gotta throw ourselves in bitch.'
“I’ll be back soon”
“You better. Or I’m coming up to space and getting you”
AND DID
[S01E01] something i didn't think about the first time was that in 10,000 years the galra empire only ever managed to find the red lion
like that's actually kinda crazy 😂
like zarkon conquered the known universe. just went about digging up planets hoping to hit lion, and he got one out of five
except that was also king alfor's lion sooo really he probably just took it when he destroyed altea right? so really he "found" no lions
