I arrived late on Sunday to visit the Volunteer Park Conservatory. 🕓 There are many unusual and amazing plants and flowers inside, and it would have been a pity to rush through in the 15 minutes that remained before closing. 🌺 . . Fortunately, beautiful and interesting features are found all around the 48-acre park. 🌳🏵️🌼🐿️🐦⛲🌲 . . Visitors were blocking the "donut hole" of Isamu Noguchi's granite sculpture, "Black Sun," when I arrived. After what seemed like forever, they finally stepped out of the way, making it possible to snap a picture before the sun set. 🌄 . . A dozen languages could be heard as I walked along paths and points of interest. ➡️➡️➡️ . . The best part? I had a wordless conversation with a kind Russian woman. Her rolling shopping cart carried bags of bread for the ducks. 🦆 She apologized that she didn't speak English.
