Fassbier-Boom in Russland – mit Test :-)

Von Sibirien aus verbreitete sich in Russland in den letzten Jahren ein Trend – viele kleine Geschäfte, die frisch vom Fass gezapftes Bier für den heimischen Konsum verkaufen – sowie meist die typisch russischen Bier-Beilagen.

Dieser vermischte sich mit dem vom Westen kommenden Craft-Beer-Boom und schuf eine ganz eigene russische Bierkultur, die seitdem einen wahren Boom feiert – denn Bier ist ohnehin schon seit über einem Jahrzehnt vor dem Wodka das alkoholische Getränk Nummer eins in Russland. Unsere Petersburger Videoredakteurin Anna Smirnowa berichtet Euch nicht nur von dem Boom mit dem Bier vom Fass – sie hat auch gleich zwei recht außergewöhnliche Sorten – ein Bier „belgischer Art“ und ein russisches Honigbier – mit ihrem Mann für Euch vor der Kamera getestet. Not sure if it actually means something but let's be honest, the name doesn't turn me on. The boutique on the other hand really does!

This little golden nugget in the centre of Fribourg offers a stunning and surprising collection of liquors and spirits, as well as oils, vinegars and other delicious liquids to turn your meals into savorous experiences! And what a sexy way to present their products...big colorful jars behind the window on wooden shelves that attract you like gravity (only without George Clooney and Sandra Bullock). All you need to do is tell them how much you want!

They also have some good whisky in there, including some Bruichladdich (my personal Everest of whisky). Have a chat with the owners, sometimes they have other stuff they can bring in from another shop, in case you're looking for something specific.

Tip: you know that goddamn liquor you never have when you try to follow a cocktail recipee? Well, they might have it.

Bummer: it all looks way too good, and there's a price for it.

Dear Tumblr,

I've been working with Oils and Vinegars far too much. I just saw Strawberries with a dark brown syrupy liquid and my instant thought was, "Yum! Strawberries and Balsamic Vinegar!" Then I read the label as Strawberries and Chocolate and I was considerably let down...
