Smoke Free

Tracey is almost one hundred percent certain that Teddy has some kind of oral fixation going on between him smoking like a chimney, chewing damn near every writing utensil he had access to into something that looked like a beaver’s teething toy, and the occasional bout of binge eating before a particularly stressful exam. Of the three mouth related habits the smoking had to go. Fullstop. She was getting second hand smoke inhalation issues and Murray was starting to complain about the smell infusing their room and clothes.

Given that the over eating and smoking both seem to exist as a form of stress relief while the chewing was more of a kind of fidget, it makes the most sense to her to get her boyfriend to switch cigarettes for snacks. It takes more than a little nagging, some bribery, and scientific articles about the dangers of smoking before Teddy finally kicks the smoking habit. Not quite kicked the nicotine addiction if the patches hiding just under his sleeves are any indication but its better than fucking up his lungs.

Of course the snacking for stress relief does have its own side effects. Tracey is almost one hundred percent certain that Teddy just has a naturally slow metabolism if his childhood fatness was anything to go by. The rate at which Ted gains a gut again after putting down the cigarettes pretty much confirms it. She doesn’t know why he’s so flustered about it, he looks cute with the extra fluff. It’s not like anyone was really being all that mean about it. At worst some of their classmates ribbed him about finally picking up that freshman fifteen he’d avoided for years.

Well, for whatever reason Ted was so sensitive about his body, Tracey made it clear how much she liked the new changes. Kisses on the sliver of hairy flab that sometimes escaped from the bottom of shirts that Ted forgot were too small. Tender nibbles on the pad of fat under his chin. Plenty of cuddles with him as the little spoon as he prefers, he’s warm against the cold of the Chicago winter.

It’s almost a shame he decides to slim down to become a superhero.

so the boys were killing 100 sorcerers a day for about a week for Kai's plan...that's like 3500 sorcerers used for parts/consumed by Kai just for the metamorphosis into the fucking tube moth devil suit pupa phase. And then ate fucking 11 whole sorcerers and like half of Ton and a chunck of Ushishimada b4 the sludge bath and second metamorphosis into more of a devil like thing.

here's a thought about the AI collective being a big eater/constantly hungry:

They're kinda of a mutated zombie thing, which tend to be hungry. And also fucker has like 9 mostly living bodies crammed in one… dude probably needs a certain amount of calories to keep all his parts functioning correctly

Kaiman whining and crying about how he's *starving* after having not eaten for an hour might actually be true. His current body that he's wearing is probably perfectly fine but one of his back ups is probably in need

(also good lords the amount the Ai collective had to eat to collectively get as big as they do as an adult. Cause like Ai only got a bit taller in the coffin while he was dead, he was scrawny as shit and still had much growing to do when he first got into the sorcerer world and the baby crosseyes started following him around. No wonder the Crosseyes close to the boss learned quickly that Kai will give them his time if they feed him)

Even still, as an adult the collective should be thicker. The crosseyes were certainly making sure that Kai was well fed. As much as he was costing her, Nikaido def made sure Kaiman was eating enough to not complain much. I have to assume that the allowance that Kai left for Aikawa was enough to keep him fed and Aikawa ate whenever fucking felt like it. And was not above stealing food if he felt like it.

Give that man(s) a soft stomach, none of that super shrinkwrapped abs bullshit

i really enjoy how much Aikawa uses his legs while fighting. Very good. More guys should use their gams to grapple

on the one hand i do like that Dorohedoro is getting adapted, the music slaps. But there's a lot of nice little charcter moments [especially with my favorite collection of broke communist gangsters] that have been cut out.

The nips are also not included in the anime and that sucks too. I've mentioned that before and I will keep doing so.

if you think about it, Kai's purpose in being in the sorcerer world is not unlike a bear parking in a river full of salmon...

Except some of the salmon decide to worship the bear and help the bear get even more salmon with significantly less effort...
