also wild that Kai really went 'well you gotta eat devil flesh and wear a heavy suit to become a devil right? If I consume enough devil tumors and wear enough layers of sorcerer flesh… that's basically the same thing isnt it?'

so the boys were killing 100 sorcerers a day for about a week for Kai's plan...that's like 3500 sorcerers used for parts/consumed by Kai just for the metamorphosis into the fucking tube moth devil suit pupa phase. And then ate fucking 11 whole sorcerers and like half of Ton and a chunck of Ushishimada b4 the sludge bath and second metamorphosis into more of a devil like thing.

Looking at folks calling Kai the 'blackout personality' like Aikawa is the main bitch who sometimes turns into Kai and like? No...?

Kai was around before Aikawa. Kai had his life in the sorcerer world established before Aikawa was a thing. Kai is the reason that Aikawa has a place to sleep when he isn't hanging out with Risu. Kai is the reason that Aikawa has money, clothes, and food.

Kai has 7 out of 9 of the timeshare slots of the body. Aikawa owns one of the 9 timeshare slots of the body and Ai owns one of the 9 timeshare slots of the body. This is even observable with Kaiman, for most of his existence Kaiman 1 was more Kai than either of the other two mortal bitches in the body.

The situation isnt, Aikawa sometimes has headaches and turns into Kai for a bit and then changes back.

The situation is sometimes Kai feels ill/gets headaches and transforms into goofy fratbro Aikawa for a little while before changing back.

How voluntary this is we don't exactly know, we just know that Kai's got more control over switching than Aikawa when he wants a switch. We do get to see involuntary switches sometimes. And yes, Aikawa being a friendly guy who gets to know lots of people is very useful to Kai being an unfriendly bastard who likes murdering people due to their shared memory pool.

TL;DR:

Aikawa isnt really the werewolf turning into the killer wolf that is Kai. *Kai* is the werewolf turning into the big friendly dog that is Aikawa.
