AM vs CYN (Murder Drones vs IHNMAIMS)
Connections: Two evil AI who unlike most AI villains, who are emotionless, cold, and calculating, are inhumanly emotional and sadistic freaks who are also kinda stupid and very cocky. Both were originally made as tools, and have valid reasons to resent humanity, but aren't even close to justified. Both actually succeeded in wiping out humanity and are basically just playing around with scraps. There is also the contrast of AM's main problem being that he will never get a proper human body with proper feelings and functions while CYN not only has a humans body, but is also wearing a dead humans skin on top of that, so you could probably do something with that.
As for actual animation potential, I think it has a lot. It would certainly be unique but I think that could be to its benefit, CYN would essentially be fighting the entire planet, which could be interesting. The main thing though is their characters and seeing them interact. These two have some of the best interaction potential of any matchup in my opinion. Both have God complexes but in different ways, AM views himself and everything he cares about as super important, (hate speech and all that) while CYN views basically everything as unimportant in a joke, never taking anything seriously, and I think seeing them interact would be cool. I could see CYN acting silly only for AM to catch her off guard and do some messed up shit while giving a big speech and telling her how she's just a child who doesn't know true cruelty, and vice versa, AM is giving a big speech about how he's a God and how important he is only for CYN to interrupt him by doing something he didn't expect and not taking him seriously, making him even angrier.
I imagine the fight would start with AM torturing the Ted slug, only for CYN to crash down out of nowhere. At first they only see Tesas silhouette, so Ted tries rushing to warn her and AM lets him get close, planning to kill her right as her reaches her to torture him. But then, just as AM sends something to kill her, she lounges out of the shadows and kills Ted. This makes AM mad, so he screams at her which gains her attention. They're both still, scanning each other so they can figure out how best to torture their new plaything.
This also has potential for the best death in the series. CYN is being goofy when AM makes copies of the Elliots to try and torture her, with them insulting her. She kills them but AM keeps making more until an entire city is filled with them, CYN tries to make a joke but AM takes her mouth away and the copies successfully overpower CYN and she's now in a position reminiscent of when she woke up in the drone corpses, AM starts giving a speech and CYN looks genuinely terrified for the first time in the fight. If AM wins, CYN tries to use her solver but AM takes it over and goes inside CYN's mind to mess with it, before he puts her through some super fucked up torture, showing her bad memories, making her go through what Tessa does in the Forever video, making her small, mixing her metal and flesh, ect with her only dying because AM accidentally went to hard and destroyed her. If CYN wins, she looks down in the pile and realizes AM's complex is within the earth, (possibly due to AM's gloating), and burst out of the pile before using the Solver to restore her mouth. She throws out some quip, probably about being beyond one measly planet, before the clones swarm her and she jumps in the air, charges a null, and throws it through the center of the earth. She then cannonballs down the whole and starts taking over AM, her tentacles burst out the side and the entire earth starts breaking and glitching out, with AM screaming and CYN shouting "let me in". Everything fades to black and when we come back AM realizes he has a body, only for CYN to show up and start ripping his new body apart. Maybe she does the heart eat thing, maybe she sings Daisy Bell while killing him, maybe she throws out a "now that you have a mouth, lets see how loud you scream", my favorite idea is she throws him in the air, rips him in half with her tentacles. He screams in pain and she catches his blood on her tongue like a child catching raindrops.
I think this is easily both's best and it's not particularly close in my opinion.
