honestly the most heart-breaking to come out of this season is the fact that we got to see no one mourn Allura. It was basically “boom she’s dead, let’s skip to a year later and show none of the effect that her death had on the other paladins, especially Lance or how Coran reacted when he found out”

There’s no point in killing off a character if you don’t get to see the effect their death has on the world around them. Sure, the world is peaceful, they got a giant statue of her and the young Alteans are learning about her but how did the paladins cope? Knowing Lance he probably would’ve laid awake every night crying his eyes out but we never got to see any of that.

And I know your argument might be “It’s a kid show.” Kids need to see that it’s okay to mourn those you love and let their death hurt you. It means you cared.

I’m grieving and it makes me look like a mad Klance shipper and that I ‘only watched Voltron for the ships’, but actually I didn’t and I’m upset by the unsatisfying plotline but there aren’t any funny doodles or memes about what happened to the rift creatures or how the Balmera were able to do that *thing* or logically why Keith’s sword turned into a blaster or why was the show so Honerva focused when there should’ve been a fight against the rift creatures of some sort since they were controlling/corrupted her and I’m sure there are other things I’m missing rn and should go back into the season to watch them but I don’t think my heart could take it.
