i do think people struggling to understand that brudick is queer history goes hand in hand with the fact that people are generally uncomfortable about some truths about the past even if b&r is fiction and has no merit in the real world. queer history is hard to swallow and the sanitization does nothing but erase it

i think anyone who likes batman 66 should read burt ward's autobiography bcs not only is it fascinating but it also touches briefly on the production itself

i think the wage disparity between ward and his costars is just crazy considering he was the second lead (he was paid around 360 dollars per episode roughly 3k in today's money which is less than what background characters get paid today) but considering this was essentially his first role ever, it makes sense

it also does provide substance to what people at the time thought about brudick, so there's written record if that means anything
