these classes are boring.
they actually aren’t. however, as usual, mingyu must hate on the things he loves most.
gym bag lazily thrown over one bare shoulder, he made sure his black sleeveless shirt was fitted just right before strolling out of the classroom, saying bye bye to the mirrors on his way out to the autumn chill. realizing he had left his jacket at home, he shrugs, and walks around the hallways as if he owns the place. my soul is colder than this weather anyway.
once finally out, he fumbles with the bag until agile fingers find what they wanted: the pack of cigarettes and his favourite lighter, custom black with a simple inscription in white on the front, which read “zero excess”. smiling at the irony, mingyu dragged one smoke out of its box. taking his time with bringing it to his lips, he prepares himself mentally to enjoy the sweet, sweet poison about to fill his longs, after what seemed like forever in a crowded room where he wasn’t allowed to smoke… paradise is just a deep breath away and he’s finally earned the right to enjoy it… so close, so close…
and a noise brings him out of the trance, back to the dull reality of his saturday night.
the click click of the other lighter bouncing along the sidewalk and into the street catches him off-guard. eyebrows raise in curiosity and his reactions are slower than usual. at last, he snaps out of it and walks towards the source of the noise, free hand stuffed into a pocket, cigarette still dangling loosely from his mouth.
ever so slowly, eyes never leaving joohyun’s infuriated face, mingyu lights his own cigarette before approaching her, coming close enough to use the fire on the tip of the white stick to set hers ablaze.
“technology troubling ya?”
