I've got feelings™️ about the concept that being AFAB makes you more likely to be bigoted in any particular way vs. AMAB people.

idk man I just don't think socialization theory becomes less bioessentialist and more Progressive And Transgender Friendly when you're insisting a baby vagina makes you more bigoted/racist/whiny instead of more helpless.

maybe people's personalities are not, in fact, determined by the presence of absence of a penis when they are born?? idk just a thought

So ophelia is back at it again where she writes up a long pity passage about how mean Black people are to her for liking Shakespeare or whatever. Not that it matters to her that the majority of Black blogs that called her out are a part of alt or geek culture. In her eyes we are all the same MTS fanatics. Does it go against her idea of how Black people are allowed to enjoy things that aren’t considered part of “Black culture”? And that we shouldn’t be grouped together? Of course, but at this point I think we get that was never her true stance. The only ones who don't care enough to check how credible her ludicrous statements are are her truther friends

Anyways, what I really wanted to bring up was this part of the passage (tw: slur mention)

I already went into the actual context of this here, so if you care enough to read up on it, go right ahead

I got the second screenshot through a mutual, and assumed this was directed @ me. Also because I got a few random anons about her around the time she started doing this. But now I see she continues to use other people’s words (taking out entire contexts and straight up lying) to make it seem these two blogs are harrassing her

Her new thing is telling people she deleted her supposed evidence because it upsetted her, even though she continues sending people to harass these blogs. It’s obvious that’s her way of avoiding telling people the truth, and others looking back at her previous statements

Anyway, witches-ofcolor has all but admitted she's primarily interested in "calling out" transmascs- and @man-loving-dyke specifically, as the person who coined "transandrophobia"- because it weakens our cause and makes it more difficult for us to find words to talk about our struggles.

None of the things she claims about these words are even true to begin with. The only real, consistent controversy over "transandrophobia" is the one the term was created to combat: the idea that transmascs speaking to our struggles at all is transmisogynistic. We've been making a huge effort from the start to clarify and remind even our own community that transfems do not benefit from transandrophobia, that any participation from them is lateral aggression, and that more often than not, they suffer alongside us as this arm of transphobia strengthens the entire system.

W-OC did not invent these ideas, nor has she even been speaking to that misconception. She's been spreading false claims and extremely personal, private information about one transmasc's consensual and private sex life with the now extremely blatant intention of making the term "unusable", because without a word to talk about these issues, it's exponentially harder to do so at all.

And she knows that.

And that's why she's doing it.

I just think it's time we cut to the fucking chase and see this for what it is. She's saying it herself, we may as well listen.

I remember seeing and reading the Saint Dionysus callout and thinking "yeah this link is gonna make lots of people uncomfortable and that's ok, but like, it's clear that they don't hang around in any link spaces bc privately engaging with or producing content for a kink isn't endorsing it's real life application" and I remember there being all these screen shots of "anti-blackness" and "transmisogyny" and they were literally the most unrelated bad faith out of context thihs I'd ever seen. Usually I'm not so critical of call outs, I'm learning to be, but this one was just so obvs bad and put me on edge instantly.

Yeah, even as far as callouts go it was... a reach, to say the least.

But the cool thing is that if they just keep making the same extremely inflammatory, extremely baseless claims without providing any context or evidence- even the callout itself- & pressure people into agreeing with them while the threat of harassment hangs over their head, it's almost like they don't even need any proof to begin with!

Almost like you can just spread rumors about literally whatever the fuck you want, and if people are afraid enough of you, or eager enough to shit on the same people you're shitting on, nobody will actually stop you (:

hi if you think it's "harassment" to talk about actions other people have instigated against you, specifically, by name, you are in fact feeding into a mindset of abuse! that is a thing abusers say in order to shut their victims down.

Particularly if you are making or publicly supporting and endorsing actual threats of physical violence against the person responding.

Like, just as an example, perhaps like these ones?

idk just seems weird to me that people are like, cool with this behavior. definitely very healthy and normal, no? for sure nothing anyone would ever be able to qualify as harassment. this is how regular adults interact.

Legitimately, yeah.

A huge, vital tenant of radfem ideology is the idea that non-vanilla sex is icky/inherently bad, that your kinks are an indication of your True Self and any Impure kinks mean you are dangerous, that queer sexuality is dangerous (see: their habit of calling gay men and trans people pedophiles and rape apologists/potential rapists), that queer people should not express or engage in sexuality (see: their history of arguing that kink should not be at pride), and that personal, gut-level feelings of disgust or discomfort toward kinks is enough for them to be "dangerous".

These people actively, blatantly, and unapologetically believe these things; they just couch the more obvious homophobia and transphobia in enough social justice language & moral panic that people aren't willing to look critically at it.
