(I actually did give the Wilton Diptych a Bohemian artist when I wrote a fic about its creation a few years ago, although I didn’t use the statue thing because I don’t think I knew about it when I wrote it. I should go back and put it in there; it doesn’t actually contradict the other stuff I wrote about it--I used Margaret Galway’s theory that the Madonna’s appearance is modeled on Joan of Kent, but the pose could still be based on Anne’s [hypothetical] statue--and the story focuses heavily on the idea of a memorial element in the Diptych.)
