Do you have any tips for getting more patrons on Patreon? Unfortunately, I haven't gained any patrons, and I have to admit it's getting me down. 😔😔

Just a few observations from my own experience:

A lot of people seem to enjoy NSFW art, especially if it’s for a fairly popular fandom. You can promote that kind of work on Twitter and gradually encourage people to check out your Patreon—for example, instead of posting the full artwork, you could share cropped previews or teasers that make people curious enough to want to see the full piece on Patreon. Personally, I love NSFW art, and I’m definitely guilty of falling for that myself 😂

If NSFW isn’t something you enjoy drawing, you could also attract people by sharing your creative process—posting WIPs, speedpaints, or even making your own brushes and offering them as Patreon rewards

That said, I think these kinds of strategies work best once your artwork starts getting some attention and you can see what your audience enjoys the most

Of course, all of this takes a lot of time, and it means constantly paying attention to what works well and what doesn’t

Another thing I’ve noticed is that consistently reposting your artwork (even pieces you’ve shared before) can work surprisingly well. I still don’t really understand how Twitter works, but sometimes a piece gets almost no attention at first, and then the exact same artwork suddenly takes off later🥲

That being said, I don’t have enough experience to say any of this for certain. Everything I’ve written is just based on my own observations and on what personally makes me want to support someone on Patreon🫶

From "Okay I am still baffled that none of us have drawn anyone as the fallen angel, it feels illegal" to Satan Barbie :D This piece was extremely hard for me to make, not only because of how much detail there was to copy from the original painting but also because I recently lost my mum and this was my first attempt at finishing something without her input. Thank you to my dear friends who supported me through it in her stead💚It's going to be hard to do art from now on but every time I do draw I'll try to remember all the whack high-pitched scream-filled calls we had whenever I showed her anything xD She was really proud of me despite my shortcomings. I love how she always said "how come I can't paint like this?" even though she made beautiful embroidery, made me three sweaters last year and knitted the cutest socks for the whole family every damn Christmas. She was an artist herself but never accepted that title. I owe her everything. To anyone who messaged me during my hiatus, thank you so much for your concern!! I'm gonna try and message everyone back but I'm sorry if I accidentally miss someone😭My brain is still a bit scrambled from everything😓
