Hi Sam! I don’t know if you know about the Chicago based designers Harebrained Designs, but they’ve designed a series of shirts protesting ICE and are donating a portion of the proceeds to the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights that’s pretty rad. They also have a collection supporting NPR and PBS and a general collection of Chicago stuff. I just thought it seemed up your alley.

I'm forbidden from buying any new t-shirts until I wear some old ones out, but I see they have pins/patches and they probably have stickers, so I may go on a spree :D Thank you for the heads up!

i picked up Unhinged on your recommendation and quickly became obsessed with the series. Asa and Zane are my favorites, that first sex scene where Asa chases Zane through the house? fully lived in my brain for days after i read it. love it. thanks for the recommendation!!!

I've enjoyed all her books, but besides Shepard's book in the Elite Protection Services series, Necessary Evils (and its two related series, The Watch & Jericho's Boys) really hits the spot for me.

Plus, her author tag line is Murder is my love language, could that BE anymore me-coded? no, no it couldn't.

The only one of the Necessary Evils books I didn't really love was Thomas & Aiden's book? I feel like there was too much build up for it to turn out that way but maybe that's just me. I've only read it once, maybe if I read it again I'd like it more.

Feel free to blab about them any time, seriously, I hardly have anyone to talk to about m/m books

Moose & Squirrel will always be a Sam & Dean Winchester (Supernatural) thing to me. Birdy & the Beef came from a tag i used a lot back in the Captain America: Civil War days of 2016. Plus it has its own catchy song: [angela lansbury voice]

How tf did you think of elixir of Erised because goddamn I can’t get over it

one minute i was lamenting how much i loved drarry but would never be able to write it (too much of a juggernaut ship with too long a history, i’d have nothing new/interesting to contribute). 

then i started reading scorbus, and like Here 4 It (will probably write some of that at some point -- a lot more to play with in terms of characterization because *jean ralphio voice* Cursed Child su-uuuuuuucked), but it wasn’t quite filthy enough for me, so i was just, “you know who has a lot in common? albus and draco. like damn.”

and then i thought, albus is a Sad Boy. he probably has Problems. but i didn’t want to get him addicted to drugs, so i asked myself -- what if he’s addicted to something magical? and i had just rewatched Philosopher’s Stone and, bam. WHAT IF THE MIRROR WAS A POTION. so many possibilities! 

i told @cineastette about it, who asked if that could be her christmas gift, and i thought it would just be 20k or so, but it is Not, and here we are.

I can sort of promise there will be at least one (possibly two) more shore fic like that one, if only because I doubt I’ll be able to resist writing about Bucky seeing Steve in one of those super tight and sexy drivesuits for the first time (and being so awestruck by the sight he falls on his face. and ends up needing stitches. and sam can’t stop laughing as he patches him up), or about their first drift and all those shared thoughts and emotions....

Besides, I was told there could be art for this... and you guys know just how damn weak I am for art.
