ayyy can you tell us some more about artistic s'talon?
What kind of media does he prefer? What style does he like to draw and what motives? does he enjoy protraits or landscapes, realism or abstract etc. or a bit of anything? Does he have a secret room that is PILED with paintings on canvases? Does he enjoy bright and happy colours or is he rather the romulan Beksiński? Does he have any rituals when he gets down to do his art? like locking himself up in a room with a bottle of romulan vintage, playing some music and gets lost in the process? what inspires him? (I have a feeling it's beautiful woman...) :D so many questions!
thank u for infecting us with the s'talon brain rot! 🧟
Hello friend!
I cannot tell you how pleased I am that the S'Talon brain rot is spreading. mruahahhaha.... my master plan is working!! *rubbing hands together*
So the whole idea of him preferring charcoal comes from @deepspacedukat. Their brilliant mind came up with that scenario and it is now permanently stuck in my brain. Why? Because I used to use charcoal and loooooved it. It is so sexy with the smudging and the care it takes to get it right just....argh! I can see him loving it and in my head it is his preferred method.
I can see him having a studio at home that is a bit darker, wooden floors, very sensual. When he is not working, he retreats there after being inspired (and yep! You are so right, women often inspire him...). I see him shirtless *groans*, utterly lost in his art as he tries to capture the woman who caught his eye. Again, this is 100% @deepspacedukat 's brain rot and I thank them for it!
On a table off to the side, I see stacks of canvases, stacks of papers, and a mess of artistic supplies. Paints, charcoal sticks, pencils, etc...
He loves to experiment with anything when the mood strikes. I also see him doing full wall-sized almost expressionism or modern paintings, just letting his emotions out on through broad strokes on the wall, sometimes tenderly and sometimes just to get his anger or frustration out.
For rituals, he would love to have a glass of wine or ale, to sip, and as you said, he is so consumed with his art that he could open a bottle and then not touch it after the first sip, getting so lost in his art.
I also see him having a secret cabin in the woods where he can go to find peace. Somewhere off the beaten path, where he can be alone and paint/draw/be himself. As gregarious as he is, when he is painting, drawing etc...he becomes completely focused, lost in what he is doing. I think at some point he has also tried sculpture as well though he isn't as far along with that as with painting and drawing.
He has "artist hands" and I see them smudged with charcoal at the end of the evening. The sun might even be up and he goes to his balcony at the front of his cabin and watches the sun rise through the trees, sipping tea and preparing for the next day. Maybe he rests a bit, but as soon as he is up, he is back to his art.
For colors, he loves them all. It all depends on his mood :) But when he sees a beautiful woman his first instinct is to smudge out her features in charcoal. He longs for a deeper connection with someone and although he never lacks for company *ahem*, he hasn't found "the one" yet....
Thank you so much @wafflingchemist for this ask! OMG. You have no idea how much I love thinking about this man. He has totally come to life in my brain and I am so happy to spread the brain rot!
