𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐤𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐚 𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬. There was one instance where a job went too far over his head, a crime he committed that kicked a hornet's nest, so to speak, of lawmen that forced him to shed his prior civilized status.
The act was a home robbery that brought too many eyes on him. The mistake he made was small, accidentally stumbling over and knocking a kerosene lamp over, but a mighty impact nonetheless. The broken glass licked the walls with flames, engulfing the whole building in minutes. Sean was lucky he made it out alive with no injuries.
Gunshots wheezed through the air from the neighbor's place. Unbeknownst to Sean, the reason why the owners were out was due to them visiting relatives and the neighbors were watching over the home. Ultimately, it led to Sean settling down and squatting in a cabin for a few weeks before he could ride back to camp.
Then, the time away from camp was unfamiliar to him that he felt like he had more to do. He had wood to cut, a fire to maintain within the hearth, a way to get some food without raising any suspicion, and a new area to explore. Staying at camp for these two weeks was boring the hell out of him, since he was so accustomed to this area, nothing was new or exciting, and being placed on guard duty had a lot to do with it. He loved the gang, but he couldn’t spend all his time cooped up in camp.
He almost forgot that Eliza was a new addition to the gang. She wasn’t like Sean, who’s been in the gang ever since the Blackwater Massacre. Ever since he was nineteen, he’s been traveling with Dutch and his little crew and he wasn’t planning on leaving anytime soon.
A sigh left him as he fixed the posture of his hat, lifting it up to smooth the fiery locks that sat under it. His hands touched the oily strands, making a mental reminder to go down to the river after this conversation. It’s not like he could go out to a hotel while the gang had to keep a low profile.
❝ Lying low? ❞ he chuckled dryly, shifting in his seat and crossing his arms on the wooden surface of one of the tables. ❝ Never heard of it.❞ Dutch never was one for lying low unless the situation called for it, which he assumed was the case now. ❝ I’m just itching to rob a stage now. ❞
As his eyes peered across camp, nothing quite notable to take in, he looked back at Eliza. His brows raised and an ambitious grin crept on his lips. ❝ Eliza, ya’ never robbed a stage, right? ❞

I am pretty open to anything, I just highlighted & italicized what I could see! Really any dynamic / plot idea for Eliza and my muses works for me. Like with Sean, feel free to discuss a ship with him with me if you want to, but I just placed it as if it’s in Eliza’s main verse where she’s with Arthur for him.

𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐧. She treated him fairly and as kind as one could, listening to his words with a smile and a nod. That attentiveness is what drew him in, being directly what he seeks within a partner. She was willing to help around camp and treated others with the same respect. That warm, inviting aura she gave off was exactly what made Robert settle and set his eyes on her.
He wasn't as ill-fated as his brother, who was able to carefully craft words like art towards his inner turmoil, but all of that exasperated when his eyes were set on an attractive woman. Whereas Robert didn't have a talent with his words, but he was more forward than his brother. He did wait for the right moment, but he acted upon it once it was in his hands. Charley typically shied away from sharing his feelings towards the person of his affection.
When the sunlight hit the horizon and, accordingly, stores switched their closed signs, Robert set out on his horse to Saint Denis. The city that always smelled putrid, that made salt and chunks of iron taste more delightful than the taste of the sewer system located in the city. Despite this, Saint Denis was the only place Robert could find clothing to his liking, which was more on the lavish side than one his status could don, and the best flowers his eyes ever laid upon. He went and bought some well-overpriced flowers, having the money to part with from the past robbery. He could care less about what the price was, his eyes were more engrossed on aesthetics than a price tag.
He b-lined for Eliza when he stepped foot into camp, hasty and sloppy with tying the reins around the post. The knots weren't quite as tight as needed. With one simple pull from the horse, his work would unravel. Flowers in hand, his head held high as he walked over to her. Only a shy grin replaced the conceited expression on his face when he managed to stumble over his own footing, a hand quick to reach the brim of his hat in a sheepish manner. He ignored the chuckle that left Wood's lips while he and the other gang members watched with interest. He had so much to pride, it left his boots and weighed heavily on who lingered close by.
He handed off the peonies, pink in color, with a gentleness to them. He didn't want to mess up and ruin them, accidentally end up cracking a stem or leaf off.
❝ Miss Eliza, I thought these were awfully pretty. It felt only right to give them to someone deserving of such beauty. ❞ A shy, cracked smile formed on his lips from the confession, hesitance enriched in his tone. He was mulling over that statement the entire journey, picking at what exactly to say and what would make the most effective outcome. If the flowers couldn't show his affections, then his attempt at words could.
@waitressmet “ are you sure that’ll work ? “
Kieran can sense the tension rising within the Van Der Linde gang, he’s heard the whispers among colleagues when they think that Kieran is out of ear shot. he knows there’s something coming, and when dutch announces that he, once again, has a plan for his people... he begins to suspect that his days with this gang were numbered.
It wasn’t expected for anyone to ask his opinion on all of this, though when he looks up at Eliza and makes the realization she was speaking to him after the rest of the gang had dispersed; he shifts uncomfortably, hands shoved back into his pockets. “i.. i don’t know ma’am. it ain’t for me to say.”

𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞. She felt it in different ways than romantic. She felt love towards her plants, a motherly love towards her friends, and a familial love towards her family. She loved the Earth and all of its nature. She loved the good heart nature some showed. She loved the little things life breathed into the world. She just never felt the feeling of true love, only experiencing the emotions and the ebb and flow of a crush.
She wouldn't let it be known, but she has had some crushes in her life. Some present, some stuck in the past, and some awaiting in the future.
This conversation started out of the blue, a quick comment from Cassie that snowballed into Eliza giving the younger one relationship advice. She saw the way she looked at Arthur, the way her voice was around him, and her overall presence. The way she smiled, and how she sounded so utterly at peace was something she could only dream of feeling. She admired their partnership from a distance, she just never brought it up till now. She even jotted about it in her diary, which was placed on her lap at the moment.
Her teeth shone brightly, dimples showing on her cheeks, while her tone was silvery. ❝ I hope I'm granted the same pleasure, ❞ she replied, the pen rolling between her finger inhabit while her blue hues remained on hers.
❝ What made you come to the conclusion that you loved Arthur? It couldn't of just spring up immediately, that's only written in fiction. ❞

𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐚𝐰 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐟𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝. One could tell quite easily that something was bugging him as he stared into the fire. When Eliza came over and sat on the seat next to him, his eyes glanced up for a moment before returning back to stare at the fire.
A shiner remained on his right eye, finally in the last stages of healing. It was a mere smidge of purple under his right eye while a scatter of red remained on the side of his nose. Grimshaw told him to apply a warm, damp washrag to his eye after applying a cold one a day prior and to keep massaging the area. She told him it wouldn’t last long, but don’t be so stupid again.
It wasn’t just Grimshaw who said backhanded comments or scolded him. A few of his gang members mocked him, remembering the fight that broke out vividly. It started after constant teasing from Sean, some hatred spurned in him towards one another. Sean knew exactly what buttons to press, what to say to get a reaction from him. Robert said something back in retaliation, his voice raised and a glare clear as day on his face. Sean was the first to swing and shove the other to the ground. Jesse told him afterward to be more civil, that it wasn’t right to make this impression onto the other gang. He told him to be calmer, get ahold of his barrings, and pick his battles. It was because Jesse voiced disappointment in him that made him bottle up his agitation. He wouldn’t have listened to anyone else.
Eliza appeared to spot this inner frustration and Robert was quick to reply back with a slight shrug of his shoulders and a low, monotoned voice. His eyes still remained on the fire.
❝ They say that so they can get rid of ya' in the nicest way possible. ❞
Eliza was trying to be nice, lend a helping hand, let him know that it was okay to be alone, but he still felt flustered. All that remained was a flame that raged within in, slowly building up, that he tried to keep under control.
A cigar was between his index and middle finger, thumb rubbing along the side inhabit. He started taking up cigars because Jesse gave him the one night. He disliked it so much then. He thought it would have to be a learning experience. He just had to get used to it. But no matter what, when he brought the folded brown paper to his lips and smoke entered his mouth, soon enough it would enter the air once again with a harsh cough with an unsettling burn in his throat. It was a tell-tale sign of someone inexperienced, but no matter what -- he was determined to wire his brain and body to enjoy them.
❝ No place to be lonesome in this damn place. ❞ Usually, there was at least one person around, or in listening distance. Whether that be guard duty or another activity to do around camp. He enjoyed being around others, most of the time, but now he just lost all the courage and the want to reach out. He didn’t reach out much in the first place, but he was more talkative and eager then than now.
