A psychedelic hit sits behind the loops, the feedback, the noise. If you’ve ever heard Les Rallizes Dénudés, you know what I mean—Japanese underground in its rawest form.

There’s chaos, mystery, and yeah, even a kidnapping. But their whole vibe doesn’t live in the internet myths. It’s in the textures. In how the instruments sound like they’re arguing with each other. Like the music isn’t played, it just leaks out of them. Rough edges, distorted everything. Bootleg recordings. Improvised shows. No polish. No plan. Just noise and trance and something close to worship.

Mizutani, the ghost at the center of it all, died in 2019. We found out two years later. Getting back into this feels like something you have to do. So here—one of the few tapes still spinning out there:
