Not to be Rugby League posting on this site in the year of 2026 but John Kear passed last weekend and I was an acceptable amount of emotional about it but today's Wakefield match was for him and it was such a match he would have loved to be in the box watching.
Close, tense game won by the underdogs in the last two minutes with the winning try set up by a player that John Kear himself gave his debut.
There is no better way to honour his legacy and I'm so glad that it worked out that way
