in oropo’s tower, the gods have no hold on you. 🌊
Oropo’s tower exists to be a parallel to the tower of babel, and while Adamai did help build it, away from the eyes of her mother and other gods that hate her, she’s able to relax and realize that she’s not forced to be someone she isn’t. I chose to repaint “Mary Magdalene in the cave” as Mary Magdalene serves as a metaphor for the divine feminine, and spiritual truth, while also having been one of the women to see Jesus buried. Adamai saw Oropo build these people up, she saw Oropo take on the form of Jesus, and she saw his fall when it came to show that he was truly Judas. Adamai is spiritually true to herself, despite ‘sinning’ in joining Oropo, and she redeems herself, just as Mary did. In the end, she finds herself as both divine, and the feminine, and she is able to finally come to terms with both.
