Statement supporting work exhibited in Walcot Chapel, Bath, 2014

The works deploy a tension between intention vs outcome, preserving chance occurrences between materials as formations spill out and release from containment. The ambiguous shapes provide a platform for imagination in the viewer, with multiple interpretations to be made. When the viewer is at an intimate level with the paintings, minuscule and intricate details become apparent, encouraging further interpretations to be made.
