ERIE, Waldwick, New Jersey, 1943 by Center for Railroad Photography & Art Via Flickr: Erie Railroad 2-8-2 steam locomotives nos. 3212 and 3018 lead a westbound freight train through the s-curve at Waldwick, New Jersey, on February 14, 1943. These engines, with no. 3018 in the lead, had come down on eastbound train no. 90 that morning. The second section of no. 90, with a 4100-series locomotive, was delayed in Highland Mills by a derailment and didn’t come through Waldwick until 4:00 p.m. on this day. Photograph by Donald W.
