According to this, Jared didn't even hear about the renewal until day of as well... Sounds like they really are keeping everyone in the dark until the last minute.

Really great interview! Jared praises writers a bunch, talks Justin being back hopefully in s4, etc. I won’t quote parts because there are too many to share!

I just answered another ask by posting too many tidbits! May as well post more, right? LOL!

I love that they were able to pivot and bring back Coop! It really helped flesh out Cordell's story. Jared also goes into additional detail about working with Colin and casting him for the role, including this quote: "If I can work with Colin for the rest of my life, with him playing young me, I’ll be a happy man."
