when commuting on the bus there is also a lot of walking involved because it's not like the bus just drops you off at your house or your destination. with that comes many walking problems and with the walking problems comes a set of neglected and almost unknown problems...men in their cars pulling up to ladies walking then asking the lady to get in their car kind of problems.
it's a real problem y'all!
i would say this happens on average of 2 times a week to me.
i'm walking minding my own business, listening to my music, ignoring the world around me. and in the corner of my eye i can see a car slowly creeping up behind me or waiting for me ahead. the window rolls down and the man starts hitting on me, asking for my name, telling me to get in the car, asks where i'm going, do i want a ride, do i want to go eat, do i want to go back to his place....NO! NOPE! none of that!
i don't know about other ladies but unless i know you that's not cool! and it's not appealing in any way. the first thing i'm thinking is you're a creep, and no i'm not getting in your car while you're driving because i have no idea who you are! and what if you're a murderer or a rapist or you like nickelback!?!!
i've gotten to the point where i completely ignore them, pretend i can't hear them, won't look in their direction and just keep walking. some of them get mad and yell things at me and speed off but fuck them! just because you're taking time out of your busy schedule to slow your car down and talk to me doesn't mean i owe you shit! because that was actually something a man said once to me "i'm a busy man, you're lucky i slowed down to talk to you!"
naturally, i told him to go fuck himself. men are just the worst sometimes!
old creeps love me thas my fuckin problem i guess.
