Linktober day 28: horror/fear
Wallmasters instil a horror in me like nothing else
Inspired by Wallmasters from Zelda, these guys are my token cave monster for Tresto. It would be cool (if not annoying) if they could act exactly like their inspiration, whisking you back to the cave entrance if you encounter one under certain circumstances. Their new ability tries to emulate this but I don't know if it'd be too annoying to be real. Chirphobos has had a lot of iterations, many vastly different from each other. I've settled on this design for now but it's certainly been my most changeable design so far. Malmanus cling to the rocky ceilings of caves with their strong claws, keeping a watchful eye out for intruders. If something wanders too close it descends upon it immediately and spirits them to the entrance of their cave, hopefully convincing it to leave. If the intruder is small enough it is eaten instead with the mouth in its palm. Graspair are unnerving pokemon to encounter in their subterranean home, able to traverse any surface with ease. They lash out with their bony tails, trying to ensnare any trespassers before disappearing into shadow before reemerging at the cave mouth. Despite this hostility, they rarely harm intruders and seem to wish only to be left alone. Chirophobos clench the cave ceiling with the hand at their base, rarely needing to move due to the extensible nature of their arms. Retracted into their wrist when at rest, these arms can snake through their caverns to catch intruders or engage adversaries at a safe distance from their main body. --Attack Info-- --Ability Info--
These awful hand monsters are like if a wallmaster, a redead and dead hand had a baby. I just wanted to be able to pet the dogs in this game :'(
