honestly, most of my ships are incest lmfao and most of those incest ships have smth to do w dads and daughters, cuz who am i but an AFAB transmasc person w Daddy Issues(tm). the ship HAS to be blood related - none of that step-dad step-daughter bullshit cuz its not as spicy !!! i love the room for angst and internal conflict, theres smth so interesting abt the idea of a man struggling w the concept of fatherhood, affection and sexuality. and on the receiving end i usually pair him up w an adolescent/teen daughter, prolly to explore more on how it feels to have a father figure who actually Cares yanno? theres some element of the desire for guidance and preservation of innocence too !!! i feel like i always project into both/all the characters involved in a ship lmfao
