2/20/23 1950s?
I dreamed in 3rd person, like i was filming a movie. A Filipino woman was chosen to be some kind os surrogate mother for a chinese diplomat. The woman works with the chinese diplomats family as a maid and helps raise the child alongside several other important children . Apparently there is some kind of war happening, the usa is doing its same training communists in the usa then sending them back to their country to fight as Nationalists in order to manipulate the politics of the war. I dont remember where the war is taking place. But our main character Filipino boy is at one point drafted into the military at like 13? One night during training, the boys were to sleep with gunfire over head, Filipino boy coulndt stand it and told his friend that they should leave to home somehow. Friend disagrees, calling Filipino a coward, fight ensures , Filipino boy gets dishonorable discharge, goes home, his mother is punished for having raised such a shameful son. I think mom is killed? Boy teaches the children he runs around with some kind of code language, and together form a communication line for some rebels at home. Idk what is happening at this point. Filipino boy at some point pisses of some adult bully, runs around town but cant shake him, eventually comfronts him in a fight, the big dude turns into a monkey and the boy is able to thow him into a river, wining the fight.
Somehow this earns the Filipino boy a ticket to meet the president and is invited to his garden party. The prrsident is too occupied with his guests and the press regarding the war, that he ignores his wife. As the party dies down, the Wife decides she will go snorkeling, with some kind of first generation gear. President is too busy with his book club and ignores his wifes mention, but Filipino boy believes that it is dangerous to snorkel alone. Filipino boy tries to get the presidsnt to pay attention, but the president mocks him and says that the boy obviously wants to be more with the wife. Boy goes with wife, who apparently gets caught underwater with something and was suppose to drown, but because yhe boy was with her, the timeline changed. She lived and later down the line at another garden party, the press interviews her and she reveals the who training people to fight in another war plan unintentionally , thus big reveal and dream ends. Apparebtly she was suppose to die to avoid this but security didnt think the boy would interviene
I had the weirdest dream a couple weeks ago.
I was in the middle of some war field, but everyone had some obscure object for a head. I’m pretty sure I was a tophat. So i was running out to bring back some dude with an anchor for a head, when he looks at me and says, “Cash or Credit?” I just kind of stand there and then we both die.
I’ve made a vow to never eat salmon before bed again.
The "War Dream"
Ever since I was little, I've had this nightmare. I've never understood it, or been able to accurately explain. Most dreams and nightmares leave once I've had them. I forget about them, and nearly all of them escape my brain. This one however...no, it doesn't leave. This nightmare is the one I don't forget. This dream scares me to the point that I can't take it, And I end up lying awake in cold sweat. I guess I should try to explain this dream. I'll do my best, but there may be confusion. Maybe though, someone will understand it, And I'll see this as more than just some weird delusion. The "war dream" is what I've always called it. It's the only name that makes sense. To most it probably doesn't seem too scary, But for some reason, to me, it's really intense. It starts with two unknown people. I never see faces, and I know no names. Somehow fighting breaks out amongst them, And I just have to watch their violent games. Their fighting isn't pointless though, They're both fighting over something, or someone. I don't know what the thing is, but I feel like the person is me. Either way, with their fighting, my dreams are overrun. More people begin to show up, but in a strange way. The first person is their leader, and they just appear around him. When they fight though, its over a huge area of land, I try to stop them, but I can't move a single limb. I'm not even there. I'm just watching it all. It's all in my perspective, and seen from far away. Eventually the dream scares me awake, But I can still see and feel the fray. I try to tell myself, "It is just a bad dream," But I'm awake while I'm having the nightmare. It's the weirdest feeling I've ever had; My body is there, but my mind is elsewhere. Everything around me becomes distant, And I still feel them fighting in my head. I try to lie back down and sleep, or walk around, But I can't ignore their bloodshed. I've never understood this dream. Eventually it just stops and I fall asleep. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, I have to make myself stay strong and not weep. I hope that somebody understands this thing. I've had it for years and have never been able to. I don't know what I have to do to figure it out, But I want to change it and be able to push through.
"To dream of a war signifies disorder and chaos in your waking life You are experiencing some internal conflict or emotional struggle which is tearing you up inside. Alternatively, the dream indicates that you are either being overly aggressive or that you are not being assertive enough. Perhaps you need to be prepared to put up a fight in some area of your life." Nowadays my dreams are so meaningful
someone posted this video somewhere today... brought tears to my eyes
The Gunner's Dream (Waters) Floating down through the clouds Memories come rushing up to meet me now. In the space between the heavens and in the corner of some foreign field I had a dream. I had a dream. Good-bye Max. Good-bye Ma. After the service when you're walking slowly to the car And the silver in her hair shines in the cold November air You hear the tolling bell And touch the silk in your lapel And as the tear drops rise to meet the comfort of the band You take her frail hand And hold on to the dream. A place to stay "Oi! A real one ..." Enough to eat Somewhere old heroes shuffle safely down the street Where you can speak out loud About your doubts and fears And what's more no-one ever disappears You never hear their standard issue kicking in your door. You can relax on both sides of the tracks And maniacs don't blow holes in bandsmen by remote control And everyone has recourse to the law And no-one kills the children anymore. And no one kills the children anymore. Night after night Going round and round my brain His dream is driving me insane. In the corner of some foreign field The gunner sleeps tonight. What's done is done. We cannot just write off his final scene. Take heed of his dream. Take heed.

The final cut
Through the fish-eyed lens of tear stained eyes I can barely define the shape of this moment in time And far from flying high in clear blue skies I'm spiraling down to the hole in the ground where I hide. If you negotiate the minefield in the drive And beat the dogs and cheat the cold electronic eyes And if you make it past the shotgun in the hall, Dial the combination, open the priesthole And if I'm in I'll tell you what's behind the wall. There's a kid who had a big hallucination Making love to girls in magazines. He wonders if you're sleeping with your new found faith. Could anybody love him Or is it just a crazy dream? And if I show you my dark side Will you still hold me tonight? And if I open my heart to you And show you my weak side What would you do? Would you sell your story to Rolling Stone? Would you take the children away And leave me alone? And smile in reassurance As you whisper down the phone? Would you send me packing? Or would you take me home? Thought I oughta bare my naked feelings, Thought I oughta tear the curtain down. I held the blade in trembling hands Prepared to make it but just then the phone rang I never had the nerve to make the final cut. "Hello? Listen, I think I've got it. Okay, listen its a HaHa!"

I Had A Bad Dream.
I got ready for school with my sister and dad drove us to school. I guess it was routine to go find Ethan before class, but I couldn't find him so I took my sister to class. As we were walking down the hall, every student in the school came walking down the hallway, every single face as white as a ghost. And there were all the teachers rushing us somewhere. My sister started to cry cause they were fairly aggressive, so I picked her up and headed in the direction they told us. We got to the cafeteria and got told to sit on the floor. They pulled out TV's and put in these movies. The movies were some sort of propaganda for joing the forces, and the importance of ones country and crap. Then, when they were over, the whole room was quiet for a second, when a teacher said that our Prime Minister publicly announced that we were at war, and that school was cancled. The whole time we were in the cafeteria, I was trying to find Ethan. I went through every single face but couldn't find him, so when it came for Dad to come get us, I told him I was gonna walk.
I walked beside the river, along a path by a forest. I came across a guy who began talking to me about the stuff he heard about the war, when all of a sudden, we hear a giant blast in front of us. It threw us off balance, and we noticed peices of dubree floating down the river. We ran to see what it was and there was a building on fire and falling apart. Right before I woke up, I got knocked to the ground by this guy because of open fire in the streets.
When I woke up, I wasn't even sure whether it was real or not. It took me approximately 10 minutes to realize that I was fne, that my family was fine, and that Ethan was fast asleep in his bed. I never realized how terrifying war really was to me. I'm still a little scared. The whole thing just felt so real.
