Once again I find myself grieving for the war and the innocent lives lost because of it. The children who are suddenly orphaned. The parents who must bury their babies. The rage and the grief that bubble up in their throats, which nothing will ever soothe.
Is the US really funding both sides of this war like it's some kind of bloody football match???
By June 19, 2024, 37 396 people had been killed in the Gaza Strip since the attack by Hamas and the Israeli invasion in October, 2023, accor
In recent conflicts, such indirect deaths range from three to 15 times the number of direct deaths. Applying a conservative estimate of four indirect deaths per one direct death to the 37 396 deaths reported, it is not implausible to estimate that up to 186, 000 or even more deaths could be attributable to the current conflict in Gaza.
This war is going on, with huge damage to buildings in the Gaza strip. Netanyahu will visit the US in a couple of weeks. Up to 186,000 dead woman and children, zero outrage.
It's also come out in mainstream media that the Israeli army was given the Hannibal directive, meaning the Israeli army was ordered to kill Israeli's during the attack so no prisoners could be taken as bargaining chips. There is zero morality in this war, zero!
when tumblr is the first place you hear about the atrocities in Rafah because the western media is leading with the headline of Israel liberating 2 hostages instead... i have no words anymore.
(they did mention the civilian deaths later on in the article, and that there were 'apparently' over 100 of them according to some of the sources. why isn't that the fucking headline. well. we do know why. some lives are more important than others again.)
It is curious how so many foeign wars cannot proceed without U.S. funding
Let the U.S. stop funding war, and let us have peace!
İnsanlar sizindi, topraklar bizimdi.
Ekilen hep umuttu. Biçtiğin kinimizdi.
One takeaway from this conflict should be that war is evil and there is never really a winner with so much death and depravity - but instead so many uninvolved people are just going to be convinced that their neighbors and friends are extremists for not agreeing with them on which country to support
