THE STINKER before the execution (and during it? in process???)
More Somatics Headcanon: There are also Somatic Prosthetics except unlike actual Prosthetics they can't be removed after implantation. They can feel pain/touch sensation but it's dulled.
So while I'm waiting for the Roathe dating bug to be fixed I'm going to list some of my personal headcanons of the redeemed Roathe
1. He is not used to affection without strings attached Niktoh is to blame for that.
2. He is poly and probably would enjoy more than one partner but would be possessive of the drifter once he gets his turn with them.
3. He seems like he would be a cuddler just saying
4. He reads smut with a straight face in the cathedral (I just think he would) besides I think he likes spicy writing
5. This man also loves romance books (in my personal headcanon)I know none of those books on his table have titles but I assume at least some of them are romance.
6. His tail wiggles whenever someone he likes is near him he probably says that it doesn't but he does
Sirius and Orion Headcanons Pt.1
I love these two so much guh- Can be read as platonic or romantic Light quest spoilers below, you have been warned:
Time to Mend the Broken Past You Left Behind
This piece was so hard, but still fun! I hope DE considers this as a possible ending to the Void War (although I have a feeling Albrecht won’t survive 😅)
headcanon that the Operator goes nowhere near mirrors or their reflection, because every time they do they swear it smiles back at them. it smiles and waves and sometimes it whispers, sometimes it taps the glass. sometimes it swings, and the Operator swears they hear the glass falter under its fist, and they want absolutely nothing to do with it.
Staring into space thinking about Roathe. Thinking about how almost everything he did to make him a commander and survive abuse started when he was a kid.
Using lying as a tool on his soldiers and even himself? I know in my heart that at least one those "creative techniques" he learned to keep the other kids from beating the fuck out of him was to lie. Just like him cultivating the image of being "a devil" and "a monster" to keep everyone away from him. He says lack of familial connections helped him focus on military stuff, but I read that "I needed a distraction." and it simultaneously taught him tactics on how to survive attacks from other kids.
"I understood from the start - both on the battlefield and in the bedchamber - the path to victory through seeming submission.”
The part of me that takes things literally is reading this as he learned this lesson when he became a commander and was with Nitokh, but the other part of me is like...that can't be when he first learned that. Roathe was learning about military strategies since he was a child, it had to have come up then. When he was getting beat up, one of his ways to get through it was probably to not fight back and just to wait until it was over.
"Where the enemy finds you yielding, there you can be sure he will push; and so you may easily trip him.” What an interesting choice of words, Roathe. You're talking about the fall of the Orokin Empire here, but that gives me a very specific image. Tripping? Hmm. (Again, that may be me reading into things too literally.)
Thinking about how Roathe is a character that shows how trauma doesn't make you a good or bad person, it just makes you traumatized. It's what you do after that defines your life.
Thinking about how as the Drifter, if you follow your preconceived notions and biases about the Orokin and project them onto Roathe, and tell him that what he did was just in his nature as an Orokin, and that he doesn't need to be held accountable, you basically foster a mentality in him of "I am what I am." (in his view, devil and a monster just like all the Orokin) and turn him into a villain.
Idk just thinking.
My headcanon of the Hex/Triad's coffee preferences:
Arthur: Strong, black coffee. And none of the fancy single-origin, fresh ground or something like that. The cheapest coffee you have and double of that.
Aoi: About 3 lumps of sugar and whatever flavored creamer you have, though her favorite is salted caramel.
Amir: Espresso, sugar, cola, plenty of ice. Or skip the coffee and go straight for a good-old Blue Jolt Energy.
Quincy: Says he likes black coffee, but secretly enjoys his with enough cream and sugar it could be considered a dessert.
Lettie: Cream, cinnamon, and just a touch of chocolate.
Eleanor: Prefers tea, but if all you have is coffee, she takes her with 2 sugars over ice, hold the cream.
Flare: Doesn't have coffee often, but when they do, they'll have about 8 shots of espresso with a touch of heavy cream.
Velimir: Coffee with cream and coconut rum, or if he has to, then just a flat white will do.
Minerva: A Raf coffee. You don't know what that is? Ugh, it's just espresso, cream and syrup, why is that so confusing?
Kaya/Nova: Doesn't much like coffee, but mochas are pretty good. Just don't offer her anything resembling a PSL.
Marie: Doesn't like coffee and prefers tea. If there's only coffee, then she'll stick to water.
Lyon: Strictly water or maybe some wine, but other substances are off-limits.
Roathe: Single-origin Columbian strain, or Kona if you're out. Heavily spiced cream and unrefined sugar, stirred well and with a bit of unsalted butter.
