So, after the Yozora fight in the kh3 DLC, whether you win or lose, you get the quote:

Leading him to get confused and question his reality
As they grow older, Amalthea finds herself absolutely enamored with stories and information and general chatter and will sit quietly just listening to someone talk.
Thea prefers to keep silent save for a few words here and there.
Hyperion is a high-energy go go go kinda kid, but if you put a puzzle in front of them they will sit still for hours working on it. Dox and Amir have used this to help him with staying on track with different tasks or focus on something he’s being taught.
Amir lets the twins pick out monsters for F&F games. They have so much fun with it, and the party has had many a heart attack from their selections.
The twins seem to always know when someone’s having a nightmare, especially when it’s Dox. They will immediately curl up next to the person and snuggle them to chase the nightmares away.
Hyper likes watching people cook, and eventually learns how to do it himself from both Arthur and Vellemir.
Dox and Amir try their damndest to keep the twins away from anything related to the wars they’re fighting.
It is inevitable that both twins will end up insisting on learning how to fight.
They claim that it’s to help them learn how to use their powers, but in all honesty? They’re scared. They’re afraid their dads won’t come back sometimes.
And much as the dads try? They can’t keep the horrors outside the mall away all the time. There have been many moments where one or both of them have been dragged back to the mall on their last legs.
And the twins have seen a few of those times.
Okay, so the next bit of yapping deals with some sensitive and mature stuff, including Dox’s pregnancy and how it affected him and Amir before and after the twins were born. Not gonna go into details about the day they were born, but will probably mention a couple things.
May also imply some sensitive topics involving depression and anxiety!
Please be mature TwT (I have been wounded too many a time to not ask…)
Alright, so to start this off I need to give a bit of context for the following yaps: Dox is incredibly unaware of most of what goes on with his body. It’s not a obliviousness thing, it’s just the fact that he… Does not care what happens to his body anymore. He’s far too concerned with getting the job done than how intact he is at the end of it.
Side note: Yes. Lettie gives him many many lectures about this.
Dox also experiences chronic pain, and in his neglect for himself he often just writes off any random pain as part of that. Unless he can visually see the source of the ouch, he assumes it’s just the usual.
That isn’t to say he’s completely immune to pain. He has a decent tolerance, but he still feels it, even if he can force himself to keep moving despite it.
Also context: Dox is transmasc and didn’t have access to gender affirming surgeries growing up.
Yes, he experiences the sort of wibbly state of physical existence that the tenno do, but… Like I said. He doesn’t care much. For the most part the only thing he actively wants to keep consistent is his voice. Anything else with his body is kept in generally stable appearance by the void metal funnily enough.
Because of this, things like his monthly cycle and minor appearance changes are erratic and inconsistent— leading to him just… ignoring when something’s off.
With the context given, we begin the yapping.
So, the twins were a cryptic pregnancy. All the way up to them being born. Not only was Dox just not listening to his body, but both he and Amir were fully convinced that it just… Wasn’t possible.
(Still working on how to boosh my way into explaining the how, so for now it’s just fanfiction ex machina or whatever)
Dox did not take heed of any of the symptoms. Morning sickness? Eh, he’s not a healthy guy. Aches and pains? Just an average Tuesday. Cravings? Gets those all the time from running with Grendal or Nidus. Putting on weight? Well, the Hex have been encouraging him to get some healthy meat on his bones anyway.
He did vaguely take note of emotional changes, but attributed that to his still learning how to feel again.
His anxiety took the biggest hit from the pregnancy though, causing him a lot of stress and several panic attacks here and there.
Now, this is Warframe, and the babies are protoframes, so obviously there’s gonna be weird shit going on.
Especially when one of their dads is a gd electric generator.
On the funny side of this, Dox just becomes weirdly statically charged. Static shocks for all, and balloons sticking to him like a magnet skcjksbfks
On the angsty side… Minor electrical shocks happening that, while on the surface seem like nothing and aren’t even noticeable, very much cause him multiple issues in terms of his muscles and heart
As another note to the weirdness of baby protoframes, considering what happened with Jade the gestation period is likely a lot longer than normal.
Not to mention the constant entering and leaving the time loop.
All this to say, that is… Another thing I’m still trying to boosh my way around. I have a vague idea of what I wanna do, but… It requires a lot of booshing and is. Maybe more angsty than it should be? I’ll mull over it
What I do know is that whatever the boosh is ends up leading directly into the day they were born
Like I said, not gonna go into details. Just point out that Dox is not a healthy person, and again, did not know about the twins
This means that the whole time he’d still been running around in warframes carrying out missions, and being hurt in said missions, the entire time
There were Several complications
The aftermath wasn’t great either
Dox was basically out of commission for several days, which caused spikes in Amir’s anxiety
And when he did come too, he was… Not in a great mental state. The Hex were careful about telling him what happened and introducing him to the twins, but it was… A good while before he could bring himself to hold them
Hence my first yap post mentioning how they didn’t have names for however long
So, I have been slowly putting together a crossover from hell, and because I am self aware enough to know that I likely won’t be able to get it done in good times, Imma talk about it
Currently the fandoms involved are: Warframe as the base and setting, Iron Lung bringing in Simon because that was originally the only crossover that was happening, Project Hail Mary bringing in Grace Rocky AND Adrian because I cannot bear to break them apart, and Kingdom Hearts bringing in Sora because I am a KH nerd through and through and Sora is my favorite
The current plan is to turn the humans into protoframes, as follows:
Simon - Oberon
Grace - Baruuk
Sora - Kullervo
The designs are gonna be heavily leaning towards their respective canons as inspirations, partly because they’re not canon protos :P
I mmmmaaaaayyyyy go into simplified explanations of how they got there, how they got protoframed, how they met Dox and such but
Amir headcannons time cause I’m writing a fic for him Lyon and Dox and I have no patience to wait to yap till I finish chapters so heR E WE GOOOOO
So I’ve already said that I headcannon Amir wearing limiters, so let’s go further into that
Of the hex Amir and Aoi have some of the most volatile abilities, with Amir’s being more dangerous because they’re tied to his emotions
Fun fact: I’m actually basing this headcannon off of a cut line that Amir had which actually alluded to this. I don’t remember the full quote, but it was along the lines of “Okay, we’re getting a little too excited. Better calm it down before we get the blue cracklies. In one-two… Out one-two…”
While the Hex were trying to help him learn how to fight and how to control his powers, it became pretty apparent that he would need limiters so as to not hurt himself with them
Despite having no interest in being a mechanic, Amir does have some vehicle knowledge from watching his dad work
Amir doesn’t sleep a whole lot, and when he does it’s not for very long. There’s just too much energy rushing around inside him— both from the Volt dna and from his own ADHD
His heart beats at a much faster rate than it should. First time Lettie did a health check on him aged her a few years with that scare
It was Eleanor who approached Amir with the idea of using her telepathy to help with his anxiety.
He isn’t the best at aiming, but his abilities made it easy to work with electricity, especially once he gets used to them— so while he’s not the best with standard guns, he’s stupid good with weapons like the Amprex, which would ordinarily be very dangerous with high risk of friendly fire.
Amir’s powers have caused him heart problems on more than one occasion— see, The Hex quest in the reactor scene
Hokay now time for Amir with Dox and Lyon leTS GOOOOOOO
Amir fell for Dox first. Dox fell harder. Both of them were silently pining for so long because of self esteem issues.
Yes, the rest of the Hex knew. Yes, they were taking bets on how long it would take for them to finally confess.
Aoi won with the guess of 5 loops
The confession happened on the battlefield. Dox was knocked out of transference and very nearly stabbed before Amir stepped in to help.
When Amir knelt to make sure Dox was okay, Dox just blurted out the first thing that came to his mind.
“Can I kiss you?”
And the rest is history for them two
Lyon came a while later, with Dox introducing the two of them
At some point Dox had a conversation with Amir about not understanding why he was catching feelings for Lyon when he had so many feelings for Amir
They had a big talk about being poly and what it means and they communicated cause communication is important guys
Still took a while for Lyon to feel comfortable with joining them— not because he didn’t feel for them as well, but because he didn’t trust himself
Amir actually helped him a lot with that, since while it isn’t the same he himself knows what it feels like to feel out of control because of his electricity
