以前ご紹介しましたが、トリスターノのギグをバンマス自らがレッスンの為にキャンセルしたので、代わりにエバンスがトラで入ったという有り得ないお得なシチュエーション。エバンスも普段とは若干違ってて、少しトリスターノぽくなってます。とても興味深いです。元々、ポリリズムなど影響は感じますが。
こういう、ビバップを基礎にした自由なインプロビゼーションに凄く憧れます。「コニッツはパーカーの真似」としか捉えられない人を散見しますが、強い影響を受けながらもがき苦しんで己の道を突き進むストイックさに気付いて欲しいな…と思います。
そして、ウォーン・マーシュ!レスターの影響…と言っても、プレスはそんな変なフレーズ絶対吹かないし、そこまでフワフワした音色でもないし…と、この人を聴くと、ハリウッドザコシショウの「誇張モノマネ」をどうしても思い出してしまいます。ザコシの芸風が受け付けられなかった僕が、マーシュのお陰で漸く笑える様になったと言っても過言ではありません。
コレを聴くと音色って大切だなぁと改めて思います。昨夜も若手からベテランまで様々な音をYouTubeで聴きました。ブログに少し分かって来た事を書きたいと思います。
