My humble light world Ralsei design aka Ralsei Holiday
yes you heard me right Holiday, I had this idea and it was way too funny for me to not put in this AU. So despite being the same species of monster as the Dreemurr's and name being an anagram of their son's name Ralsei is in fact an adopted son of the Holidays. It confuses hometown to no end that the Dreemurr's adopted child is the human with the vaguely christmas inspired name and the holiday's adopted child is the goat monster. Idk they had some pact where they got to name eachother's kid or something. idk if this is an original idea it might've been done before
Ralsei having the middle piece of the three way necklace is very purposeful. As the middle piece in these necklaces is not in fact actually necessary and the two side pieces can make a heart. In this AU he defintely still has the same complex of not being as important but for different reasons. Kris and Susie are not bad friends they both tried to get him to take their piece but he insisted.
In this AU he's either always been a lightner and the upside down triangle instead symbolises Kris being a human to Susie and Ralsei both being monsters. Or somehow he manages to escape the dark world at an incredibly young age that he forgets that he is in fact an darkner.
I think the latter is more interesting because it means the prophecy is still the mostly same and also he gets to deal with the fun existential horror that this teenage boy has just learned he is not in fact real and not knowing how he can come to the light world, if whatever is allowing him to do that changes he is trapped away from his friends, family and life forever. But that's not going to happen right??
The book he's reading is Warriors The Last Hope btw a lot of characters die in that book so it worked best for the joke.
