my take on the minecraft strider :)

i have a headcanon for them that their legs are like hot and slightly fluid magma when they walk on lava

and when they got out of lava they get cold - and that's why they are so slow outside of it, because their legs basically become stone

he's this kind of lizard except his leggies are like petrified wood. oh also there's plants and stuff growing on him. normal lizard things

here's my strider minecraft oc perun :D

perun is the name of the slavic god of hoo many things but basically sky (thunder, storm), law and war

it came from my idea for striders that they live in the nether but it seems like even the nether is mostly too cold for them, they straight up need to live in the lava for it to be hot enough

i headcanon that they used to be some sort of war mounts and could fly but since they had to keep to the lava to stay warm they lost the ability to fly via evolution over time

so my design for striders is very big bird/dinosaur like :3 i also threw in some sillyness like the magma legs (very fast on lava but slow out of it cuz it starts cooling down to stone) and also the top of the head is inspired by those:

before i also considered a design completely without arms but finally ended up liking the wings better (he's flightless tho)

he lives in the desert and has a pet best friend camel :) (also helps him move around the overworld and is bigenough for his fat ass)

i drew my minecraft oc and my friend’s @waruihoshi technically an oc more like an npc on the minecraft server she roleplays as fnjkfdfd in the style of cult of the lamb because my oc runs a cult of the pink sheep :]
