Sigurd was the only one to show up last night and enjoy the freshly cleaned pool and fishing time 🎣 My sweet king gave me kisses and snoot boops of appreciation. The days are just sweltering hot now, so I believe everyone is laying low to conserve energy. Even the squirrels have gone M.I.A. for the most part. Hildy’s wound looked healed enough the last time I saw her, that my worry about it has passed for the most part. Now it’s time to focus on getting everyone through this heat wave, and figuring out what became of Hildy’s baby (or babies). I haven’t seen ANY kits this year...which is really weird, since I have seen the clan moms who have clearly been nursing. Just Hildy’s cute little foot. Because I think it’s adorable, and I absolutely cherish every piece of fur and claw on my raccoon queen 👑 I cherish every day she makes the journey to my garden safely, and that her tired old paws successfully carried her to me with any strength she could muster.
