Kabaragala Ella - Mandaramnuwara, SriLanka

Kabaragala Ella is a waterfall which is situated in Mandaramnuwara, the ‘misty city’, in the Nuwara Eliya district. This beautiful waterfall is located among the scenic Kabaragala Tea Estate off Elamulla. The hike up to the waterfall takes about 1 hour to complete. It provides amazing views of the surrounding area. The water is very cold.

Hike: Waterfalls of Johnston Creek

As I returned to Banff National Park I made a stopped at Johnston Canyon trailhead to hike a 3mi trail up to Johnston Creek to see a few waterfalls. The hike was leisurely, but it was unique in that most of it was along a walkway suspended on the canyon wall. The cool and clear turquoise waters cascaded down the trail as I passed a handful of falls before reaching the Upper Falls view point. Overall, the hike was very crowded, but worth doing if you are looking for something easy but rewarding.
