Water-wraith
Water-Wraith
So in the third episode of Supernatural Sam and Dean are investigating a number of drownings in a lake and Dean makes a few suggestions of what it could be. Among the suggestions of a demon and Lake Monster, Dean adds a water Wraith. After reading the definition, I see why Dean suggested it.
So originally I was going to put this with wraith’s when we got to them, but I decided to leave them as their own thing. It took me a while to find them, and even then it was in a book on the internet called ‘Encyclopedia of Faries in World Folklore and Mythology’ by Theresa Bane. The definition of the water wraith was written out to be of Scottish origin. They are ragged, scowling, tall, thin, and withered women in green. They are usually seen by inebriated people (this isn’t the only creature we hear of that you need to be drunk to see). They Attempt to mislead people into the water to drown them.
