Ok, ONE more Water Buffalo! This was my completed piece in my Friday online class using soft pastels, an alcohol wash underpainting on Pastelmat. Layers and love, and learning go into these types of paintings and I love every minute of it. There is always that uncomfortable stage but then it comes together somehow. Took out my frustrations after my recent scam experience by painting this water buffalo with mostly a palette knife and then some other mark-making with a paintbrush in acrylics. Some pastels were added for the background. Nothing like some art therapy to let the emotions flow!
