Here’s an interview with the artist!
What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
“My favorite cartoon growing up was probably Lilo & Stitch: The Series. It's definitely the show that impacted me the most. When I was really little I watched a lot of Arthur too.”
What’s one of your favorite things you remember from the 90’s?
“One of my favorite things I remember from the 90's...I really remember the Furby and Tamagotchi phase. Everybody in my class had one. I never had a Furby but I did have a Tamagotchi, and I was always scared that I was going to accidentally kill it. So stressful...”
What was one of your biggest inspirations for becoming an artist?
“Biggest inspirations...I really liked Dinotopia growing up and one Christmas I got one of James' Gurneys illustrated Dinotopia books. I read that thing from cover to cover and loved the illustrations, and it really made me want to tell stories. To this day James Gurney is still one of my biggest inspirations.”
What type of work would you hope to do in the future?
“I hope to someday work in the industry as a visual development artist! And far in the future, I'd love to develop my own TV show or direct my own movie, all while working on personal side projects like webcomics or creating a graphic novel. As long as I can tell stories, I'd be happy.”
