Monday was my last day in the Desk Exchange program at The Artist Co-Op which is a Co-working space for artistic creatives. I started in May and it was a great experience. I love start up energy and the place is chock full of it. I’m not really a theater or person, so I was little out of my element, but the creative energy was familiar nonetheless. Also, Some cool stuff happened! I wrote biographical story for @w42st magazine and played a garden party for @designwildny which were both unexpected and very appreciated experiences with some brilliant people. My inner coding nerd was even triggered because They used Slack for community messaging which is great because it was already on my phone from when I got my HTML/CSS certification last year. I even learned a little about a coworking software called Nexedus that reminded me of a watered own version of the Salesforce CRM software tool we used when I worked in the telecom data center world to manage facility access, installs and disconnect processes. As an entreprenuer, sometimes it feels like I’m not contributing enough to society because everything is about surviving, thriving or self-development alone as I build my own business, but these experiences were very fulfilling for me after spending the past few years mostly composing/mixing/editing music in a small dark room alone or traveling the world living in a cabin on a cruise Ship as a guest entertainer. After seeing the place grow and develop in just a few months I really got a chance to observe how a positive, nurturing, proactive community really helps creative people passively interact within a self-managed space to get their daily work and long term projects accomplished fully inspired by a constant flow of coffee, soda and dreams. 😂 So now I’m even more encouraged to build my own musical community of artists and resources to help them start and or finish projects in person or remotely to get their music digitally distributed out to the world. #artistswithoutlabels #makemusicnotwar #ifyoubuildittheywillcome #Nexudus #watertheplants #wipedownthebookshelves #waxonwaxoff #thejourneycontinues (at The Artist Co-op) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1u7E6FAJ09/?igshid=1xc0kgmkabsly
