Summary

Whatever it was that was waiting to give inside Aziraphale’s chest snapped like a twig. He didn’t even like French food.

“Crowley,” Aziraphale said, setting down his book with an argumentative slap. “You don’t even like French food.”

hi hello!!! top five favorite characters??

Hey Darcy!  Oh gosh, the answer to this question can change every now and then, but there are some characters who have stayed with me, and some who are newer faves.  So, in no particular order:

1. Elizabeth Bennet (okay, she is my #1 girl, I am a basic Austen fan, I’m sorry)

2. Sonya Rostova (my heart aches for her, okay? she is so good and kind and deserved so much better)

3. Aziraphale & Crowley (they are a matched set and cannot be separated :’) )

4. Harrison & Drew kaleidotrope (putting them together not so much for otp reasons (but oh my god, how I love this pairing), but I have never related more to fictional characters.  Kaleidotrope podcast in general helped me grow so much as a person and get out of my comfort zone.  I really cannot recommend this podcast enough.    

5. I want to put so many other characters here because I just cannot choose.  I want to mention the Rose family.  I want to mention so many other Austen heroines.  I want to mention Mrs. Lovett.  I want to mention Makoto Kino, who was probably the first fictional character I was ever obsessed with and I still am  So take your pick! 😂

PSA

Are you one of those people who won't read a fic that is still a WIP? No shame, I am too. Do you find yourself going through your subscription list and wondering if you should delete "that fic"? After all, it's been sitting there languishing and teasing you with it's incompleteness.

DO NOT TOUCH THAT DELETE BUTTON! Seriously. Let me explain. About five years ago I discovered a website called Archive of Our Own and tripped into the Sherlock fandom. I had no idea what I was letting myself in for but damn the torpedos and full speed ahead. I came across an AU called "A Study in Reintegration" by @patternofdefiance and was immediately sucked in. There may or may have not been a late night reading session. At any rate, I finished that beauty at an unholy hour and gleefully went to start the second novel in the series and HORRORS is was a WIP.

Fast forward to today, and the final chapter of that tantilizing story was uploaded today. I am so glad I never hit that delete key. See, here's the truth as I see it. Fan fic creators are producing their visions, their creations FOR FREE. They are not paid to do this. They have real lives, real problems and real challenges. They have demands placed upon them that have nothing to do with their creativity.

What ever fan fic creators produce it is done in their limited free time, for no recompense and out of their joy in their chosen fandom. They owe us no explanations for delays, long delays, longer delays or dropped works. It is us who reap the benefits of their creativity that owe. We owe them thank yous and appreciation of their hard effort.

Don't like that story? No problem, move on. Fan fic work is like beer. If you don't like that flavour, move on. BUT. If you like that flavour then please, tell the artist. Thank them and hope for more. Be glad they were able to finish because we have no idea what is going on in their lives.

So. Don't delete that WIP on your subscribed list unless the author has stated it is dropped. It may take awhile but if you're patient ... you just may get gold.

A Question If You Please

As I have mentioned before, I really hope to become more active on Tumblr and within my two favourite fandoms. Uploading my photography is easy peasy and while I have a few issues there I am content to back burner it for a bit.

I do all my uploading from either my cell or my tablet. The tablet is a recent acquisition so I am still feeling my way around it. All thanks to my Techo God (aka my son) I purchased a WiFi keyboard to go with it. Not a bad price either, it only cost me three home made meals to be sacrificed to the Techo God. The issue I am running into: what is the best word processing software I should be looking for?

Let me explain: I do not want to store my works in a Cloud. Our home puter uses Office Libre which I like but it is not available for download to tablets. I don't mind paying for the software but I am looking for recommendations. I am more than happy storing my works to my tablet, an external hard drive or a data stick.

So. I am asking Tumblr and a few of my many fav writers out there what is a good recommend for me? You can inbox if you prefer or go public for other aspiring fic writer, poets and creative folks out there.
